I swear to god Solskjær is the luckiest man in football. The amount of questionable penalties, late goals they get is crazy.

When I was a youngster in London whilst watching the Arsenal in my parents’ room, I would dive on the bed and mimic saves from the legendary David Seaman. My mom found this mildly displeasing at best, and utterly perplexing at worst. Personally, I like ambition. True story.

Anybody know how United are getting on tonight? 🤭 Man Utd 9-0 Southampton. I’m feeling a little bit better about being a Gooner. If you know, you know.

Liverpool are done. No league title for them this year.
Title between Utd and Citeh.
Therefore, Citeh to win the league.

Foden is the best English player around at the moment, ran rings round those scouse bin-dippers. Klopp's interview after the game always makes me laugh as well as he scrambles for an excuse and even has a go at the interviewer for looking at him wrong. Biggest sore loser I've ever seen.

I wonder if sporting attendances (season ticket holders) are still being reported over the stadium tannoy. That would be taking the absolute piss.

Man City are the Arsenal of old. Chelsea are the new Arsenal. Arsenal are the new Liverpool. Tottenham are Tottenham.

Jose Mourinho has been sacked by four Premier League clubs (including twice at Chelsea), along with his troubled longevity elsewhere.
Other than delivering success with richly founded squads, Jose may want to reconsider his ‘specialist in failure’ barb he directed to the legendary Arsene Wenger in 2014.

I think thats unfair, hes been sacked at 2 premier league clubs, the other time at chelsea was "mutual consent" and nobody wanted him to leave. I would also argue that his spending record is heavily skewed, its a common fallacy to say spending a lot equals investing in a lot per say, ie. City buy lots of players whilst United spend a lot on fewer players. That doesn't equate to buying loads of players and more so owners/negotiators doing a poor job. Jose's so-called "big spending summers" in 2016 and 2017 only brought in 4 players each really. Considering the rebuild job needed thats next to nothing (compare that to what Pep got with a better team). With his first spell at Chelsea you could argue the same happened with a lot of the players, there was a lot of overspending on names that arguably weren't worthy of the prices, they were spiked massively by everyone knowing Chelsea had a new rich owner. Obviously the likes of Drogba turned out to be great players but not before Jose got his hands on them. Is he behind the times? Perhaps. Is his man management counter-productive? Almost always. I'd even agree with the notion that hes a massive twat for the eye gouging and Eva incident but the argument that hes a checkbook manager or some sort of fraud always feels really wrong to me.

Jose 2004-2012 is one of the greatest managers ever. His approach has just fallen behind the times since the dawn of Pep.

Don't see him getting another job in England, he's well past his best. Guardiola was the first manager who seriously screwed with his head over ten years ago when he went to Madrid and he's never really recovered. Before that, he was teflon and impenetrable , annoyingly so as the sycophantic English media were so far up his behind it was unreal. Hated his first spell in charge at Chelsea and the tabloid hacks guffawing at every unfunny comment he made in press conferences.
As much as I despise the man though, I do think his achievement of beating Guardiola's Barcelona - the greatest football team ever seen I think - in the 2010 Champions League semi final with 10 men at Inter Milan is arguably the finest tactical performance from a manager ever. A defensive masterclass considering that was peak Barca - no team should have come close to beating them at that time yet somehow, with 10 men, he did. Fair play, and his treble achievement at Inter Milan that year is the one of the greatest managerial performances in one single season ever. But where he won the battle in that sense, he lost the war in general against Guardiola.
