Arsenal beat Liverpool to win the Community Shield.
Really disciplined performance - haven’t said that for years. Well deserved win today.
And Saka was immense - Peach of a cross for the assist to Aubameyang’s lovely goal.
Off to an excellent start in the traditional curtain opener to the season. Premier League kicks off on 9/12. Up the Arsenal! 🏆

We were flat. I didn’t like the balance of our team today....Gabriel and Holding don’t convince me of a partnership. No idea why we used to 3 at the back when Kolasinac was the third CD. Willian looked off the pace. I presume Tierney is injured (?), otherwise Saka made little sense.
We come up with a win. Eddie with the poachers goal. Take it and run indeed. Liverpool next.... 😳

We don’t count on getting a result away at Man City - we don’t factor a result there in our pre-season assessment so while the loss is disappointing, it is literally expected and advancedly taken into account.
We can take a few positives away from today. Good shape, organized, and Saka’s continued growth.

That’s the second (out of the first two) EL matches I’ve missed. Fuck that shit.
