Mark Messier retired Monday, ending a 25-year career in which he won six Stanley Cup championships and ranked second only to Wayne Gretzky on the NHL all-time scoring list.

you know BERNIE NICHOLLS said it best they after the devils ranger playoff epic series in 94 he said on tv "no disrespect to wayne and mario they are the 2 best players i ever saw , but if i had to win 1 game for my life i would pick mark messier first" he said that after game 7 of there series.
i agree i think the best 3 players i ever saw was gretz -lemieaux- messier ,,but if its a game 7 with the cup on the line i would take mark first..he won 2 without wayne , wayne never won without mark...jmo
