Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye. That's fuckin' rubbish of sounds that I don't understand. Boring as hell. Video is one of the worst ever - just kinda Neanderthals shit. How on Earth this was popular in mid-2010s?! Gotye himself looks like granny - that's not rock'n'roll-ish. Thank God Gotye is a one-hit piece of shit ...Did anyone ever say it was rock 'n' roll? It was always pure out-and-out pop song, and it's a good one too. I agree, it’s a good tune. I’ve always thought Billy Bragg could do a perfect version of this song, just him and his electric guitar.

Hotel California Purple Rain Knockin' On Heaven's Door You're simply wrong about Purple Rain... But I agree about Hotel California 100 times over. And that solo somehow being among the greatest ever? Laughable.

Laughable. Cringe solo. Hotel California would result from Artificial Intelligence after being fed MOR 70s pop songs as source data

I don't like Hotel California, don't understand why it's regarded as one of the best songs ever at all. And that solo, yuck.

Regarding The Eagles I do like a couple of their songs One Of These Nights and Life In The Fast Lane. Both are better than Hotel California.

Quite a few bands where I'm a huge fan but some of their classics just aren't my thing.
Im a huge Queen fan, yet despite it being one of their most iconic hits I could never stand We Will Rock You. Same goes for Elton John with Bennie And The Jets.
I also like quite a lot of The Jam's stuff, but one of their classics that just never clicked with me is Going Underground.

Anything by Duran Duran from the 80s expect Hungry Like The Wolf. And, I do like Ordinary World from 1993 by them. But stuff like The Union Of The Snake etc are just absolutely awful.

Surprised nobody's mentioned Dancing In The Moonlight by Toploader.
Just mentioning it gives me the fear.

Surprised nobody's mentioned Dancing In The Moonlight by Toploader. Just mentioning it gives me the fear. I know its a marmite one, many people I know dislike it. I admit I do like it, mainly for nostalgic reasons as its from a childhood era when i used to read Smash Hits and get every Now! album (literally had about 10 in a row from like 2000-2003). Its one of the pop songs from that era that I should hate, but I hear them and I'm instantly a 5 year old again. Things like Year 3000, Life Is A Rollercoaster and 7 Days.

And they always played their big hits like You Said No, Year 3000 and What I Go To School For at school discos and birthday parties. And in recent years Ive heard Year 3000 at clubs a lot (a bit like Wonderwall tbh), so its sort of re-entered my life.

Child in Time Nothing Else Matters
Nothing Else Matters is so shit that if I wrote it, I would put it in trash immediately and forgot everything about it in next 5 minutes.
Songwriting is so poor but it is made and produced in that way that it has to be big hit.

Hotel California Purple Rain Knockin' On Heaven's Door I'll add to that list: There She Goes - The La's Also the whole album always get a very top position when ranking "best albums of all time" and I just can't see what people see in it.

Being Scottish, it's got to be 500 Miles by The Proclaimers. However, in complete contrast and on the exact same album, Sunshine on Leith is a genuine masterpiece.

It's already been mentioned, but it has to be Bohemian Rhapsody for me. A pile of pretentious horseshit.
