Hey everyone! I put together a few more Oasis remixes/mashups that I wanted to share with you all. You can stream them here: oasisneverbrokeup.bandcamp.com/album/if-we-shadows-epMy lovely girlfriend was kind enough to paint the High Flying Birds-style cover art for it. I overdubbed my own attempts at a full band + synthesized orchestra to "If We Shadows" from the Be Here Now sessions, mashed up "This Is The Place" and "The River" to make a new "Oasis" song, and added a Noel guitar solo (sourced from Coldplay's "Up & Up") to Liam's "Universal Gleam." I'd love any feedback that you have. Thanks to everyone on the forums who have shared the rare stuff that made some of these mixes possible. Also, if you're in need of someone to (re)mix your own band's demos or bring a music production idea to life, hit me up! |

amazing If We Shadows, the drop at 1.14 is pure magic and the rest of the song has its glorious moments, great work!
only thing is the drums/beats from 0.36 to 1.05, sounds a bit off to me.

amazing If We Shadows, the drop at 1.14 is pure magic and the rest of the song has its glorious moments, great work! only thing is the drums/beats from 0.36 to 1.05, sounds a bit off to me. Thanks for the kind words! This isn't the first feedback I've gotten on those drums - I may just run a second mix with the kick drum fixed up. |

Fantastic stuff. Highlights how even a throwaway Noel melody from the time can be given some nice production and turn into a decent tune. Dare I say it sounds a bit like a Bond theme in places. Keep it up!

This isn't the first feedback I've gotten on those drums - I may just run a second mix with the kick drum fixed up. yea beat making/drum loops takes more time to work on. don't worry, just some parts need tweaking but as for the tune, it sounds a million times better than the acoustic demo can't wait for the 'definitive' version, might end up on some BHN alternate tracklist! (maybe not) this is the place : love the verses and the 'better scream and shout' chorus of The River don't quite work for me though was always a fan of Universal Gleam - nice work |
