Okay so I was bored and somehow ended up on a 15 year old news article about how the guy Terry from the Word TV show booked them back in 1994. According to him he saw Oasis perform at a place called the Hop Bar and Liam was so shy he sang the whole time with his back turned to the crowd. This has to be a myth right? I can’t imagine Liam ever being this shy. Has anyone else heard this story before?

Dont know how true it was. I could see Liam doing it for a laugh rather than serious confidence issues. If he did it at all. Which he probably didn't.

Oasis played the Hop & Grape Bar, which was/is part of the Manchester Academy at Manchester University, a few times in the spring/summer of 1993 as a supporting act. I highly doubt that during those gigs Liam would have been singing backwards, as these are all AFTER the King Tuts gig in May 1993 (which we have video of and he is singing face forward). Perhaps Terry is misremembering those gigs with earlier gigs from 1991/1992.
