Some songs could be on a different level than other songs and you might not even know it, just wondering if that would be the case between these two...

I really like Boy with the Blues and it without a doubt should have been on DOYS but I love Born on a Different Cloud. It is 100% my favourite on HC and incredible live. That and Songbird are the only two songs I actively choose to listen to off that album

Born On A Different Cloud for me (but like beentherenow says the live version has a lot to do with that). Boy With The Blues is great but deserved to be released as an album track/single or at the very least one of the last ever great b-sides.

BWTB, although BOADC Finsbury Park 2002 is far far superior.

Born On A Different Cloud deserves much much better production. I wish it was around for SOTSOG. Lot going on in this song but it’s lost in very bland production recording.

Funnily enough, on BOADC I think it was the one time where the HC underproduction worked on the song's favour, it gave an eerie foreboding sense of hopelessness to the song, it also worked for SCYHO as well, no wonder two of my fave songs on the album. But also that kind of production only worked for those two slower songs, for the more upbeat songs they needed a more vibrante production, but sure I would have liked SOTSOG style production too.

BOARD is more interesting but BWTB’s melody is better so BWTB We're talking about "Born on a Different Cloud" not "Born on a Renered Doud" Although Liam did sound like he was singing that live!

Born On A Different Cloud ☁️. The song has much better lyrics than Boy With The Blues.

What is with all the comparisons of sub par songs ? None of those would make a top 50 oasis list

Definitely Boy With the Blues. Has a nice swagger to it and should have been on the album proper.

Really baffles me how Boy With The Blues was wasted the way it was. At the time Noel could have at least saved it and seen if there was any chance of persuading Liam to change the structure (if that was the genuine issue).
We'd have then at least got it as Beady Eye's probable first single. (I always feel like they wanted a Liam written song as first thing we heard from them)
Born on a Different Cloud is always one of them songs that I feel like I'm missing what everyone else is hearing. It doesn't really go anywhere. The lyrics are good but that's about it. And there's some really poor distortion on the production side.

I love both songs : BOADC because it's very different and has unique sound, and Boy With The Blues because it's one of the best thing Liam has written.
Boy With The Blues should have been a more important track on DBTT or DOYS, but back then i guess Oasis was looking for something different.

Tough choice, I like both. But I'll go with BOADC.
