"Unscrupulous turd" - Nick McCabe, 2020.
Nevertheless, I still want to hear it out of curiousity. I wonder if it's worse than She's So Hot?

Acccording to Nick, it nearly was the first single of Forth. 1. Lucky Woman 2. Gz_ 3. ace.maverick 4. Starship77 5. Mingo10 6. Cesarina 7. jmb066 8. neil.yardley@icloud.com 9. that_axe_eugene 10. I was following the thread on the Verve forum but I think the conversation moved into a part of the forum I have no access to not being a member. Do we know if any of the other songs on the promo are different from the final album? And if so are we getting those as part of the deal?

Do we know if any of the other songs on the promo are different from the final album? And if so are we getting those as part of the deal? Yes, he's agreed to sell it for 280 pounds. I let you here the last message that he sent. "No problem. The rest of the album is pretty much the same as the final release. Rather Be has a couple of differences from the final release version towards the end of the song, in the last stanza there a few seconds where the rhythm section fades and Richard's voice is amplified, it really works well and I prefer it to the final version, although the majority of the track is pretty much the same. Valium Skies is a few seconds shorter on this promo as the intro to that song is formulated into the end of Mona Lisa, (I.E Mona Lisa transists into Valium Skies, like how "Numbness" segues into "I See Houses"). Other than that I didn't notice any differences. The tracklisting is different as you'll see from the screenshot and the album includes Ma Ma Soul which was only released in Japan. I'd be happy to share the album too so you can see if you can hear any differences for yourselves, but I'd be a bit wary of advertising this openly as Forth is available to buy and stream and selling the tracks that made it to the final release may cause trouble if anyone connected with the band or the label saw this?"

Sounds like a mediocre Ashcroft solo b-side.

I think it's pretty decent.
Can see why it was dropped but would have been nice to have it as a b-side.

Has anyone found a link yet or could point me into the right direction? Somehow I'm unable to register at the Friendly Forum.
It's a decent track for Ashcroft standards but I can easily see why McCabe disapproved it. It heavily rips off Cum On Feel the Noize as well.

I do like Forth but I'm not really, really into the tracks that just wind on without really going anywhere - I think it lacks some poppier songs tbh. Anyway, it's all opinions. Glad to have it because I've really got into The Verve in the last few months!

Thanks mate. But I meant more in the vein of a hi-res digital download. There wasn't a link posted on the Friendly Forum, just a PM sent out to people who contributed. I hope it'll surface in lossless soon. Once on the internet always on the internet!
