We Are The Champions really sounds like a song written and performed by four guys who weren't even remotely intrested in sports.

It’s probably some Queen bollocks innit? Talk about over-saturation.

I dunno if The Scientist would be Coldplay's most recognisable track. It's their most popular, but I think Clocks or Viva la Vida are easier to recognise on the whole. Viva, with it's punch of strings and iconic opening line, would probably be the one most people would get after the first twenty or so seconds. I used to rule the world...
Overall, though, it's probably Bohemian Rhapsody, which is a bit annoying but there you go.

I love that tune and I don't mind being cancelled over it.

I remember reading somewhere that the most recognizable song worldwide is God Save the Queen. Which is probably the worst possible answer that the question could have. I'm surprised it would be the most recognizable. Here in France, I'm pretty sure the majority of people wouldn't recognize it.

Doesn't surprise me tbh, considering how many other countries Britain used to subjugate under colonial rule.

Not the Sex Pistols song.

Don't know which songs you have in mind but it would make sense that the British national anthem is the most recognizable song worldwide given the number of countries that used to be British colonies, who would have been forced to learn God Save the Queen under colonial rule.

What's worldwide for you? I'm not disrespecting the britsh national anthem of course, but the world is too big, even some Bee Gees songs are way more popular worldwide than god save the queen.

Ah I don't mind if you disrespect the British national anthem haha. Worldwide is hard to define ofc but let's just say that it requires a large number of people outside the Western world to be able to recognize it as well as within the Western world.

GSTQ also has claim as a familiar American song too. Same tune, different lyric.

I have no idea how God Saves the Queen sounds like it's gotta be Imagine, especially now that with that cringy video of celebrities butchering it
