Andy consistently comes across as the most level-headed former member of Oasis and I wish he could tell the inside story from his POV. Unfortunately he never wants to badmouth Liam it seems, so he keeps quiet. I have yet to hear a good account of why Beady Eye broke up. Interviewers never push these guys on it and they give out platitudes. Noel has said Gem and Chris would never be in a band with Liam again, so there has to be more there. I'd also like to hear Andy's POV on the fight in Paris and the years leading up to it.

Both have said complimentary things about each other on social media lately. This was a nice inteview with Andy.

The tours were barely breaking even and Liam didn't want to do it any more.

Liam cheating on Nicole, his failure to notify the band of what was going on, his voice sounding dreadful...there was a lot going on. Gem's fall too and then his divorce later.

The first part is what I meant, we know some of her best friends (still) are Gem’s wife (at the time, now ex) and Andy’s wife. It must’ve been very hard for it all to be harmonious. I’m not saying it was the only reason, but the difficulties this brought shouldn’t be underestimated.

Wasn't/isn't Gem allegedly a bit of a pest?

Noel has said Gem and Chris would never be in a band with Liam again, so there has to be more there. Says Noel. I'd take that with a pinch of salt until I hear that from Gem & Chris themselves.

It must've played a part, but I don't think Liam, or anyone else for that matter, saw much future for Beady Eye in 2014: it hadn't been as successful as they had hoped, Gem's pretty serious head injury (he still speaks very slowly now) had scuppered their plans to build on the momentum of the release of "BE" as they had to cancel important festival slots, which meant they'd have to start from scratch again on the next album... Let's face it, Liam likes playing to large crowds in sold out tours, so the lack of success of Beady Eye after 15 years playing arenas & stadiums with Oasis must've been very frustrating & demotivating for him. He said at that time (2014-15) he thought he may be done as a singer, he thought maybe his career was over for good, & when he later launched his solo career he said if it bombs he'd sort of retire (unless Oasis reunited at some point); I think he was sincere. So the lack of success of the band was likely the main reason for the split, though there were indeed other parameters involved that complicated the intra-band situation: if on the contrary there had been a high demand for Beady Eye they would've carried on with a third album regardless of the internal unease IMO.

Chris isn't a loss to anyone, hope thats not true about Gem not wanting to be in a band with Liam though, he's in my Oasis reunion Fantasy team.
