I could envision him singing Everybodys On The Run, Stranded on The Wrong Beach, perhaps the chorus of Record Machine.
It works fine with Noel, but because it sounds kind of like the rockier Oasis Id also like to hear him try Lock All The Doors.
And of Oasis songs Noel sang, Boneheads Bank Holiday (although the man himself shouldve imo), Sad Song maybe? I also enjoyed the clip of Liam trying Step Out.

LOCK ALL THE DOORS! Should have been saved for a future Oasis comeback single.

The whole of NGHFB - a whole album of Noel songs, sung by Liam. Perhaps one sung by Noel.
I've been dreaming of that since Be Here Now.

Interesting thought, although id say theres certainly a few that suit Noel better (If I Had A Gun, What A Life). I also think some could have been split - Noel was best for the chorus of Soldier Boys and Jesus Freaks but Liam could do the verses, with the opposite for Record Machine.

LOCK ALL THE DOORS! Should have been saved for a future Oasis comeback single. I know what you mean there. Of all NGHFB’s output thats probably the one id want as an Oasis comeback single. It might not be his best post-Oasis song (albeit one of them imo), but its a fast rocker, fairly in-your-face with a good melody. If they were to ever come back, i think theyd need something like that to re-introduce themselves as firing on all cylinders. Like Rock N Roll Star/Bring It On Down/Step Out/Shock Of The Lightning/Stand By Me. As opposed to a softer, more acoustically driven track like Wonderwall/Importance of Being Idle, or a ballad like Stop Crying Your Heart Out.

They always seem to come back with a Hindu Times, Shock, or Lyla. I always thought you come back with your best song? Why not come back with a Stop Crying, or Once?

I’m just craving more Noel written, Liam sung, which I still contend was bizarrely neglected in later Oasis when that was the golden ticket!

If they ever get back together that should be the formula, with maybe one from Liam on each album. Or even better, a Gallagher-Gallagher song. And back to the topic: - Everybody's on the run - Come on Outside - Record Machine - Riverman Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think The Girl with X-Ray Eyes would sound great, specially the last part when the singing turns a bit more punchy.

Stranded on the wrong beach Riverman (Noel's backing vocals on 'all of the love...' would be amazing)

As a fan of stop the clocks, I am still waiting for this one with liam vocals.
And indeed as someone else already mentioned I could see him doing the whole NGHFB album (apart from aka... what a life)
Others: -come on outside -riverman

Most of Noel's first album expect for Dream On. Also, I think there's too much choir stuff for me on that album. So take the choir off on Record Machine and Stop The Clocks and put Liam on vocals the songs would be so much better.

Sail On as it's the only NG solo tune I truly love. I'd be interested to hear Liam's take on it, but that's one of the rare ones where I think Noel's version is already pretty much perfect. It's special, for sure - probably my favorite of Noel's solo career.

If we're talking Oasis, then...all of 'em.
Seriously.
Where Did it All Go Wrong, The Masterplan, Don't Look Back in Anger, all of them. The only songs I think are definitely Noel are TIOBI, Half the World Away, and Talk Tonight. All the rest should have been sang by Liam.
I mean, it's Liam Gallagher, for fuck's sake.

I've never gotten the vibe of Liam should sing this song-its clearly a Liam song, until I heard You Know We Can't Go Back (and Lock All The Doors but that was supposed to be one). If someone told me that it was written in 1995 or something by Noely I would be inclined to believe them. Liam would kill that song, I could picture the brothers singing the chorus together on stage. Its got that magical classic Oasis vibe I love so much.
Noel also wrote it like his other classics didn't he? Got plastered and woke up with the song in hand the next morning with no recollection about writing it. One of my favorites from Noel.
