Shown a lot 2day. We are not this great team we get made out to be.
A load of individuals, we are not a team.
Few players who are lacking (on that performance):
Glen Johnson - Awful
Joe Cole - not the answer to the left side
David James - (No words needed)
Hargreaves - What does he give you?
We lack pace down the wings, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Stuart Downing will eventually give us that.

alltough I shouldn't be laughing too hard as we lost 2-1 to the poncy Italians.
Pirlo gave them the lead with an unstoppable drive from 18 yards, then Gilardino scored a super goal, his initial shot was saved by man-of0the-match Given and he then chipped the ball over him from under his own feet. Seconds later Andy Reed struck Irelands only goal after dreadful Italian defending.
Ireland did have the ball in the back of the net again in the last minute of stoppage time but was ruled out for handball (I was at the other end and havn'e seen the replay so don't know how harsh the decision was)
A near full strength Italy squad started, only noticable exclusion was Totti, irealnd were without the two Keanes.

4-4-2 doesnt work with beckham, gerrard, lampard and joe cole all playing. theres no bite no defensive qualities. lampard and gerrard are two of the best midfielders in the world - so you can't drop them. this neccessity to play beckham complicates things he cant do fuck all but cross and free kicks - and they were shit last night.

the result was pathetic ...england need more pace obviously and swr and downing will no doubt provide that..they need a goalkeeper for the next 10 years like PAUL ROBBINSON ,, get fuckin james out...they gotta stop playing longball..come competion time the longball is rarely succesful..they gotta work the ball into rooney or owen...becks gotta produce more than the freekick....other than that we are ok..lol.....i still think there is a chance for success in 06 but the above needs to be done...

Becks doesn't have the pace you need on the wing, it's just not there. As good as the team looks on paper, it's getting to be a totally different story on the pitch.
I also think that the long balls are a crap way to go, possession and short quick passes break down defenses so well when put into play.
Turn and groove type thing.
I mean, It's not like Gerrard and Lampard are completely incapable of running the centre of the park
