Just heard from my friend in UK that there's 5th death in his family. I, for myself, for my family, for my friends and for all the people who lost their loved ones by this pandemic, keep carrying on with these restrictions no matter how long it will take. Stay safe everyone. My uncle is as nervous as ever. This protest group are a load of morons if they think he for example can't get Covid after chemo (nasal cancer), keep being self righteous idiots protesters.

So that stupid twat Matt Hancock says that he hope's that by the end of the year with vaccines and treatments for Covid is an illness we can live with like we do with flu and that Covid could be a treatable disease. What a stupid thing to say especially as scienctis have warned against treating Covid like flu. Mind you, it's only what I would I expect from Hancock as he's a complete and utter twat anyway.

So Boris Johnson is to set out next Monday how we're going to come out of lockdown. Well, after all his dithering and incompetents I don't trust him one bit or any of his useless cronies.

When are people going to learn about having these illegal parties? In today's news I read that people have been at it again and have received big fines. I'm just sick of these stupid idiots who think that it's ok to break the law.

I've read that Johnson said pubs will be open in May and people can go to work as they used to in June in UK. How is this possible? My friend and his wife in Manchester are positive tested last week and now his wife's parents are positive tested.
Overhere, anti-Covid restrictions group pulled a court to stop curfew yesterday. What's wrong with these people?

Sorry to hear that your friend in Manchester has had a really bad time in the last few months. I think that it's all guess work with Boris Johnson saying that pubs will open in May and that people will be able to go back to work in June. The truth is he's so incompetent that he doesn't know what he's even on about half of the time.

Don't know what it's like in England, but in Wales the deaths are below 10 most days now and the positive cases are around 250

What's wrong with these people? Unlike the Netherlands, the UK has vaccinated over 15 million people already. I'm getting very tired of this. Rutte told the press today that he doesn't see much space to let go of some of the rules. In Germany and Belgium hairdressers will open the first of March and there are much more positive tested people there. I mean, wtf needs to happen before we can let go of some of the restrictions?

I read on the BBC news pages that lockdown is working but the infection rate is still very high. I think it will take a while yet before things finally get back to normal even though the NHS have done a brilliant and an amazing job to get all these vaccine's done already. Also, I've just found out today that I'm in the priority group for a vaccine because of my epilepsy. I didn't know this but Fever's can actually set off a seizure.

All 4 UK governments are shit scared of what happened last summer - lock downs eased too quickly in retrospect and which weβve been paying the price since the autumn. Not to mention the other variants that have appeared since then. N Ireland just announced today lockdown extended to April.

I think you can book it yourself if you're in a priority group. I've had mine already and I'm not at high risk.

It is a little misleading from our government(unsurprisingly), if you look at those who have had there second jab we're actually behind.

I'm really at the point I ignore the news to save me from the fury. Just reading about the illegal awarding of covid contracts to everyone in the government's best mates.
The fact that this blatant corruption isn't headline news just tells me the country is going to hell in a handcart.

Lost my Gran to Covid Wednesday night, got to FaceTime her Tuesday morning and while she couldn't talk and only managed to touch the screen it was good that we got to see each other before the end.
She was, without question, the most decent person I've ever known and I'll miss her terribly but at 93 she had a great run.
My thoughts are with anyone else that has lost some close to them, whatever the reason, during these times when we're unable to comfort or get comfort from our family and friends.

So sorry to hear this mate. 93 is a great innings and I'm sure the decency and goodwill she provided in her life carries its legacy with yourself. Best wishes.

I read on the BBC news pages earlier that Covid infections are continuing to fall but the infections are still high. This report was by some one else to the one in yesterday's news. So it can only be good news but we still need to get the infection rates down though.
