This song gets a lot of hate, but it's grown on me. Sure, it's obvious that it panders to the late 90's US alternative seen, but it's still good. Lyrically, despite some throw-away lines, it does a good job telling the story of a sleazy person who is bound to self destruct. "He sits upon a throne, he lives a sleazy lie, but he's all alone again", that really is a great line. Couple that with a cool riff, Liam's snarling vocals, and a kick ass guitar solo, you get a damn good song. What do you think, is it underrated?

I love this song, despite its flaws. You can tell Liam does too by his vocals

I like it a lot, especially the live version. Since it's as simple of a rocker as a song can be, I don't think it needs any more sophisticated lyrics: you just go out and destroy the mic.

Silly lyrics aside, it gives SOTSOG some balls. Although there were bigger balls on the sidelines. This is one cocked up analogy.

Terrible tune.
Should have been replaced with a Liam-led Full On.

Terrible tune. Should have been replaced with a Liam-led Full On. Eh. A Liam-led Full On would've replaced Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is well. ICSAL fell into the trouble of being in the wrong place on the album. Having it after an emotional roller coaster like Little James/Gas Panic!/Where Did it All Go Wrong?/Sunday Morning Call and before Roll it Over, a cathartic closer, is very jarring. It would've been better at track two, right after FITB, when the album is at it's most confident point. It had a place on the album, just not where it ended up being.

I wouldn't say its over or underrated myself.
I don't normally hear it get slated by fans as the worst Oasis tune ever, in the way songs like Magic Pie, Little James or Nature of Reality often are. Its reputation tends to be as of the low points of the album and one of their worst rockers ever, which id personally say are about right.

No definitely not. The song itself isn't even one of the best on Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants anyway.
