I didn’t know, until this year, that Dot is a nickname for Dorothy. I always just thought Noel randomly called a character in his song “Dot”. I would find this so amusing that every time I would hear that line about Dot being mad or not, I would always smile. Now the lyric is fucking ruined for me. If it's any consolation, "dotty" is British slang meaning eccentric or mad. So that lyric is actually a rather tasty stealth pun by Noely G.

When I first heard She’s Electric I was about 6. Back then I didn’t know the meaning of having “one in the oven”. For about 4 years i thought she literally liked to cook her cousins for dinner ! After the line id always say “wow, thats a bit mean!” 😂
Parents still remind me of it when they hear the song, 15 years later.

I don't know if it's my dumbest Oasis thought ever but when I was getting into the band, I misread 'The Girl in the Dirty Shirt' as 'The Girl in the Dirty Sh*t'.

I had a girl that was into me tell me, after her posting Stand By Me on facebook, that she did not know the two were brothers. Suffice to say that crush for her did not went well.

Makes sense that its a name pun, as the girls name was 'Avaline' which ive always assumed is a pun/play on 'have a line' (ie of coke).

That fuckhead who thought HC was the best Oasis album. What a dick. Someone actually called it the BEST album? I know on its release Noel said it was their second best behind DM which is ridiculous enough, but in the release cycle you're not exactly gonna say its a load of crap. Still I never knew anyone called it their best

And to be truthful, i said SCYHO was the best Oasis song and Champagne Supernova was boring for , a couple of years maybe . Like 2002-2004. If i hadnt been at junior school id have been certified insane 😂

In my flatting days I once fell asleep on the couch and my friend told me I was sleep talking about how good it was that Oasis had sold out 3 nights at Wembly Stadium. This was 2004, so it predated them actually selling out 3 nights. He thought I was a bit of a loser. He doesn't like Oasis though...

Back in the late 90s when there was talk of a Noel Gallagher Solo career, I didn't like the sound of it because I envisioned it as him with a guitar and nothing else like his acoustic sets back in those days. Some people unironically want that and should be euthanised imo
