You don’t think they could fill 15k in major markets? You live in the U.S., yeah? I hear more people mention Oasis in a positive light than I ever have and I think people mid 30s/over would be more inclined to go see them as a nostalgia act.

Most basketball arenas I can find on the internet are around 50-60k. I thought you were joking.

And most of the bands I’ve seen in these venues have the top level (3rd) covered.

Noel rarely if ever sold out any of the 2k-5k venues on the stranded on the moon tour despite giving away / selling tickets dirt cheap.
I understand that oasis might pull a bigger crowd but it’s not like the later tour usually sold out in the states
And there’s people like me who rather go to Noel solo than a half arsed reunion show
If they routinely go for 12k-15k venues across the country ,they might be in for some disappointment

If they would ever tour again and play it smart(they probably would need new managment for that) I could see them playing 10-12 gigs in North America with a 10-15k crowd each gig - without a doubt. Announce it early enough, do some press pior to the tour, get a decent support act and in the best case tour around spring or autumn.
Almost every reunion gets some buzz and if you do some good PR around that it definitely works out to be a success.

Well, all my assumptions could be wrong, too. I guess I’m just not sure whether an Oasis reunion would be such a big deal outside the UK.
I mean the current NGHFB lineup is pretty much Oasis minus Liam....
Maybe my own lack of excitement leads me to be slightly pessimistic

I would argue that the chances of guigsy, white or tony being part of any sort of reunion are 0 though

The same arenas they played on their last US tour (10-15k) with a well known opening act.

An Oasis reunion? Well fuck me I’m not interested. However this is would likely would happen.
12-15 date tour in America. Gotta be summer months. Play a lot of outdoor amphitheaters around the country like they did in the summer of 2005. Naturally at larger cities they can do an arena or two. MSG for example. They did an arena tour for DOYS. Didn’t sell that well. They can’t shoot too large. No shame in that. They also need to take 2 more acts on the road with them.
I’ll tell you what. If the Verve got into this equation, a joint outing would sell well across the USA.
Supergrass/Verve/Oasis
Who says no? Besides Noel and Richard?

Chris on drums Liam on vocals Noel on lead Gem and bonehead would probably both play guitar The bassist is the biggest mystery(Andy/the guy in nghfb/some other bassist/ definitely not guigsy)

Think you all underestimate... If it is played right they could do some HUGE shows..... First do the rock and roll hall of fame thing.... play wonderwall, don't look back in anger and champagne supernova oh and the new comeback single .... announce just a few shows in New York and LA or something... so that they sell out ASAP... to create hype... then expand the tour... ALSO play on the nostalgia aspect with the promotion..."re live one of the 90's biggest bands" or something... I mean probably most in the USA thought that they split up in the nighties.... promote it as this HUGE come back... Think it could be MASSIVE.... the power of nostalgia should not be underestimated. I mean those who were 15 to 25 in 1996 are in their late 30's and early 40's and have disposable income and are willing to pay to re live their youth...

I think they'd play bigger arenas in Europe and Japan (maybe even Oceania).

If the Smashing Pumpkins had problems selling out on their last tour, I don't think Oasis would do any better, except for maybe a few of their historically strong markets over here (NYC, LA, Boston, Toronto, etc). I saw them at the height here in the states in 1996 (about 18,000 in attendance) and over the years at varying sized venues (anywhere from 5,000-15,000). I think as others have posted, that would probably be their limit in their stronger markets, unless the co-headlined with an American act that would help them draw. Guns N Roses, they are not. For the non-Americans on here, you would be shocked by how much some nostalgia American acts would out-draw Oasis, like Hootie and the Blowfish.
