No news about a boxset as the "Chasing the sun" editions? B sides, Live versions, etc....

Why not put a questionmark in the title?

No, there's no news on a potential anniversary edition similar to the 'Chasing the Sun' reissues of DM, WTSMG and BHN. Imho, it's also not going to happen anytime soon because the Oasis albums released in the 00s don't really appeal to a wider audience aside from Oasis fans.

But there are A LOT of Oasis fans I wish and whenever I come here, I'm also pretty sure about it. Unfortunately, I haven't met many Oasis fans irl so far. Edit: But of course, I know tons and tons of people who happily sing along to Wonderwall when they are in a drunk state.

Chasing The Sun style boxsets might not be entirely necessary but I'd really love at least a 2CD reissue that gathers the album and b-sides together and at least a handful of demos / rarities from the SOTSOG era.
I'm hoping that they're waiting for November to cash in on the Christmas market.
Take my money!

The people didn’t really want SOTSOG in 2000. Do they really want it in 2020?

The people didn’t really want SOTSOG in 2000. Do they really want it in 2020? What's Noel's favorite saying these days? "The people don't know what they want until you give it to them"?

A few days ago they shared on social media a performance of Sunday Morning Call, I got excited thinking it could lead to a SOTSOG announcement, but it's probably nothing.

At least, I hope we're going to have a compilation (an Oasis Anthology) of demos and unreleased. The whole DBTT sessions (about 40 songs) is my erotic dream.

Oasis has a strong fan base that would certainly buy it. Nice money for Noel. I could see one happening.

It wouldn't be that much money as it would be a risky release for a very reduced fanbase. But I could see Noel releasing something related for RSD, maybe a couple of SOTSOG demos or something like that.

The anniversary is 3 weeks away and there's been no announcement so I'm not holding my breath.
Best we can probably hope for is a remaster and maybe a few bonus tracks on streaming services.

The Definitely Maybe reissue came out 3 months before it's 20th anniversary, Morning Glory came out an entire year before it's anniversary, and Be Here Now also came out about a year before it's anniversary, so I wouldn't worry about them sticking to strict anniversary dates for reissues. My guess is we'll get something for SOTSOG this year at some point, most likely November to cash in on Christmas sales.
