Album out 20th March, first single:
Quite boring and repetitive on first listen.

As of today, I'd say that's exactly what he is.

As being a huge The Smiths fan myself and although how painful to say, I can't follow Moz past years. I did buy his last album, but have only listened to it once sadly.

Still cannot fathom how somebody who had the ability to write such beauty with sensitivity has become so toxic in recent years. It's the old dilemma - art or artist but I just can't reconcile the wordsmith of The Smiths with his public persona, and I'm always looking at Morrissey the artist of The Smiths rather than anything else.
I still listen to The Smiths and am as avid a fan of them but it's a shame to look at all those images with him and Johnny and think what he has become.

I think that new one sounds alright. There’s plenty of interest to it off one listen. Nifty keyboards.
It is overproduced, though, like most of the Morrissey solo stuff I’ve heard. Really don’t like how the drums sound; and the female vocals are for the most part a needless distraction.

"The worst year of my life concludes with the best album of my life". Christ he's been saying that about all his albums since 2004. I recall reading his 'rankings' from a few years ago of everything he had done, including The Smiths. He had what was then his three most recent albums - Years of Refusal, Ringleaders of the Tormentors and You Are The Quarry - as the three best he'd done. Meanwhile all Smiths albums were middle to low ranking. Deluded.

Despite being a massive The Smiths fan myself, I've stopped to following Moz. His last albums were crap and he's been absolute dickhead. What a shame.

Album out 20th March, first single: Quite boring and repetitive on first listen. Am I the only one who likes this song? The instrumentals are just great and I like the idea of that woman complementing Morrissey, although I think her parts could've been a bit more subtle.
