At the risk of sounding like Beady, I listened to A Storm In Heaven for the first time in ages yesterday.
Actually not even sure if I'd ever listened to it all the way through.
Anyway, 'Butterfly' - is mentally similar to Fade In-Out (and it sounds like Riverman and The Right Stuff as well).
Obviously, Butterfly was released in 92/93, and they were good mates...
Have a listen for yourselves. There's also an acoustic version where it sounds the same to Setting Sun/Fade In-Out acoustic.
Now, I know it's probably just because it's in the same tuning (D-A-D-G-A-E - or maybe DADGBd) but still, the progression is almost too similar (especially in the full album version).

It's just because of the tuning, there's alot of songs like that.
This one springs to mind instantly

Re. the initial post I meant DADGBe - not DADGAD! Oh, no probs. That second string tuned to A was what didn't sound right to me Fade In-Out and Setting Sun are in DADGBd Dunno, always sounds better to me (acoustically) in DADGBe Just sounds better to my ear Check this one out (and the transition to Fade In-Out). He's leaving the 1st string open You'll be #TeamDADGBd after that

He's leaving the 1st string open You'll be #TeamDADGBd after that I have played it both ways. I think it's because the little Dminor run he does in Setting Sun sounds better to my ear when it's turned to an e on the highest string But either way, it's just so friggin good to play. Played it a party off my nut a few years ago (talking shades indoors in night in February gear) when I was still very raw with a guitar but had figured that out. But came across like I knew what I was doing just because it's one shape
