Really been struggling with this. I really like Greta Van Fleet, I tried out The 1975, but I think they're kinda shit. They seem to mean well, but the music wasn't very good. Any straightforward rock bands, excluding metal and weird voices.

That dude sounds like he's been smoking for 40 years. Like 5 packs a day.

The Hold Steady are excellent - amazing lyricist. I have all their albums.

They seem quite good. They look like dorks, but it's a solid tune.

Klone:
Actually a lot softer than most art rock but also less depressing than Steven Wilson

Wanted to bump this, with a few twists. I dislike Greta Van Fleet. I used to think they were good, I don't know why. They're kinda trash. Anyways, I don't want this to just be rock now. I'd like it to be for any self-sustained, melodic artists. It could be techno or something. Trying to broaden my horizons a bit.
I might try CamelPhat since Noel collaborated with them and it was great. I listend to one DMA's song and thought it was solid, I'll check out more. I like The Kairos still, but they haven't done much as of late. I might get into Temples. Fontaines D.C. are great. Other than that I don't have much. So this is open to suggestions. I prefer stuff where the singer has an easily digestible voice and there's a focus on catchy melodies. Nothing too poppy, but not crazy heavy either.

If you like CamelPhat then try Disclosure Sam Fender makes some great pop rock imo, Inhaler are good if you don't have any problems with the singer being Bono's son, The Lathums are promising although I'm not a massive fan of their last EP, Blossoms are alright
