He'd be better off just voting Labour, but as long as he's not right-wing that's what's important.

Saw Jo Swinson on the box last night waxing lyrical on the merits of Universal Credit. Hey, while I've got yer... I know you're a big supporter of the BBC, but what do you think about them lately? True, political activists have form for getting paranoid about media bias that is at best negligible, but the "errors" the BBC keep making, which coincidentally all happen to favour the Tories, are really piling up here. Yesterday was just ridiculous.
As people have pointed out, if it wasn't for someone capturing the exact moment Hancock left the hospital in Leeds on camera, there'd be a police enquiry hanging over Labour's campaign now. All from a complete fabrication orchestrated by Dominic Cummings and dutifully disseminated by Kuenssberg and Peston et al., who, dodos that they are, didn't check if it was true or not first.
It does seem like the BBC cannot go on as it is in its current state. Either the top talent are not up to snuff and want replacing, or they have indeed abandoned their duties as an impartial public service and are now in the pockets of the Tories, under the sway of their billionaire backers.

I’m a huge supporter in principle of the BBC and public service broadcasting, but I completely agree with you - their election coverage this year has been nothing short of scandalous. It’s been quite sickening in fact. Everything you noted above plus more - see the subtle framing of article headlines that can appear negative for Corbyn or other opposition. Although Andrew Neil ‘empty chairing’ Johnson last week sort of diverted all criticisms away from them on that leaders questioning thing, the fact that the BBC assured the other opposition that the Conservatives would be taking part is awful. As a public broadcaster, it’s in desperate need of reform with all this terrible coverage. Look at all the key stakeholders of the BBC and they’ve got their hands in Tory pockets. My suspicion with this is it’s a stance where the BBC think they’d rather have the Tories - who they know to be ardently anti-BBC - inside the tent pissing out rather than outside the tent pissing in for their own self preservation - hence them currying favour with the Tories and being their lackeys. But I think if you lie down with dogs, you get fleas - and sure enough, Johnson preached about scrapping the licence fee last week. Add to the constant platforming of little shits like Mark Francois and Nigel Farage and you have a public broadcaster who are not just misleading the public, but lowering the quality of debate. I suspect in this era of rapid news where hit rates and shocking headlines are more important than genuine news, they are seeking to maintain relevance (20 years ago we never saw the likes of c*nts like Neil Hamilton constantly on Newsnight - they were discredited and out the public eye and it seemed to be a moral principle for the BBC to maintain those qualities, but not anymore). The downfall of the BBC will be partly to do with ideological principles of the Tories but largely down to the fact they were unable to fight for the principles of public broadcasting, and if you’re facilitating the rise of right wing demagogues and the increasing toxicity in British society, then I’d rather than see it broken to pieces before it does any more damage. It’s been infested with parasites to the point it is fair to ask what the point of the BBC is. I’d like to see reform rather than abolishment of the BBC - but genuine reform that will ensure it is impartial (e.g. citizens assembly electing the board?) will only come under a Labour government.
