I'm Chelsea, thought I'd see what it's like to have unlimited funds, lol. Have won everything for the last 3 years on there tough and have won all league games for the last 2 seasons so its got a bit boring really. I've got one as Man City as well and got them to the top by January but have started to fall away now, and I've got one as Peterborough who I've managed to get around the play off area

started off with accrington stanley, worked my way up to div 1.
got offered the job of man city manager, they were rooted to the bottom, 0 points after 9 games. finished the season in 6th. then won the league next season. continuous champs league winners, and have about £250 million in bank with players such as Freddy Adu, Robinho, Ronaldo, Rat and SWP playing for me.

"Due to your excessive spending last season, the board of directors have restricted your transfer funds to £850m." ;D lol, another one I like is when they say they've given you a 'hefty' budget of £1.1 billion or something ridiculous like that Who are you on there then jobero, Birmingham presumably? You doing any good? |

You doing any good? I was Birmingham when i first had the game as i think most people's first team on football managment games are the team they support. To be honest, i haven't played the game much recentley. I have just started a new game with Coventry (don't ask why lol) and am only just in Pre-Season. Does anybody know if there are any patches availible for bugs in the game? |

There are some patches on www.thedugout.net just follow the links from the download section. I think you just go into downloads and then FM 2005 official ones |

After the problems I had with slowmotion when I installed 13 divisions, it was back to CM 03-04 in no time.

Im newcastle, started out at barcelona but it was too easy so moved to newcastle for a bit of a challenge. I dont play them as much as i used to, i was religous player of the old games though. I did like 25 seasons on one of the old ones, i love it when all the players have retired and all your players are people that have come into the game. The new one comes out soon, does anyone no if you can play it online, it would be ace to give all you lot on here a game, have a cup for example.

pick a 2nd division team such as stockport
that'll test your management skills. if you want high gate receipts pick sheffield wednesday, that gets you money and u can start picking up players on frees cos they want to play for such a well supported club

cheers Columbia... ;D sadly because i am usually Spurs the only players to sell are of the quality of Taricco, Richards, Bunjecevic.. not alot of $ to be made.... this Football Manager 2005 sounds class though i may have to go and purchase it... |

I've got Championship Manager 5 (and before yas go on and say "get FM its miles better", i picked CM up for €15 down from orignal price of €50) Just finished my first season with Macclesfield and got Promoted as the board/fans considered a hard first season battle against relegation. it looked that way after 7-0 and 6-0 defetes in friendlies. Abdallah Bah was my first major signing, a goalkeeper who then got injured after 2 league games. Youngster Decey and veterain Fettis steped in till Bah came back and conced only 16 goals in 22 league matches. I was getting average results, good home record and finding it hard to pick up 3 points away. Everything changed when I pulled the best signing of the ever in the history of the club, 34 year old Slovian International Zlatko Zahovic. Instance success as the Attacking Midfielder took Division 3, sorry, League 2 by storm. We steadily climbed up the table with ZZ the inspiration. another successful signing was young Finnish Left sided player Markus Paatelainen, another free transfer. Banged in a goal on his debut and hooked up well with the others sometimes playing just off the striker. He joined around Christmas time. Things really picked up after this result shot me up the table:  This left me a couple of points off the playoff positions. ZZ got injured for a bit but Paatelainen took over his superb preformances. Injuries also struk up front for me, with star striket "Chewey" Tipton spending two seperate spell on the sidelines. He still managed to find the net 16 times in 19 starts, John Miles spent the season in the treatment room or in the reserves while unlucky John Parkin only managed 3 starts with 6 sub apperances in the whole season scoring 3 times. The main man though was Kevin Townsend on loan from Rochdale who scored the only hattrick of the season (plus two more) in a couple of minutes. He finished joint forth in the League 2 scorers chart with 32 goals playing in a total of 46 matches. I also signed Paulo Costa, a Portugese Left footed Forward who I play on the wing late on in the season. He only managed 3 games before injury kept him out for the promotion run in. Managed an assist on his debut and a goal from a cross in his next one. I am looking forward to seeing him play in League 1 next season. He's now worth £300k, i got him for free and concidering the next highest player value that I didn't purchase is £19k Anyway it all came down to the last game of the season, I had a magificent run in losing only two matches in the final 19 games of the season. hose to the teams that finished 1st and 2nd both 1-0 home defetes. I had lodged Lincoln out of third place during that time after working my way into the playoff positions. The last day saw either Me, Southend or Swansea go up. I played Wycombe who needed a win for a chance of a playoff place. It was at the Moss Rose and ol' Kevin Townsend put me at ease with two goals in the first half. Chewet made soure we went up with a 3rd later in the game. I finished a point ahead of Southend (who later won the playoffs). Celebrations started!!!!! Yeovil won the league with bang on 100 points and Oxford finished only 3 points behind them. I was 20 points adrift off top spot but was the form team the second half of the season. Only bad news is of the imment retirement of League Two Player of the Year and Cult Hero at the Moss Rose, Zlato Zahovic. He is retiring unless I can muscle up 6 grad a week which I cannot afford, even for him Center Half Tony Barras is also retiring, onl telling me at the end of season. Stephen Brackenbridge was having a wonder season until he won Player of the month for January then his preformances went downhill compared to previous ones. In the reserves Wayne Rooney's cousin Tommy started to hit the back of the net towards the end of season, so hes looking a good prospect. and in the U-19 16 year old Stephen Hand scored over 30 goals. He got a few 1st team games but i think i brought him in too soon. Now looking forward to next season, I should get Kev Townsend cheap now Rochdale have been relegated as I couldn't afford the full fee this season. I need a few more players, a centre half, left full, and try find someone to replace the magic ZZ broght to the club. Fair fucks to ya if ya read all this but I just had to do it coz i'm so pleased. What a fucking game!Premiership here come the Silkmen!!!! also Chelsea done the double, beating Man Utd in the FA cup final with 4 goals from drogba. Ciddy and Blackburn qualified for the Champions League  and ironicly Milan beat Arsenal in the Champions League final on penaltes. phew! that took a while! |
