Seriously, they had eleven number 1 singles there. Liam is literally one of the biggest pop stars in Scotland. Wall of Glass hit #5, One of us hit #9, and shockwave hit #1. Noel isn't as big, but has broken the top 10 twice. Even Wandering star was top 40. It's 2:00 in the morning, maybe I'm over thinking it.

Most likely because they share very similar traits with most Scottish people - like a bevy and a sing-song, don't take life too seriously and are a pair of sarcastic kunts - can also spot a bull-shitting chancer from a mile away.

The Irish/Celtic connection mixed in with working class ethos is a tidy combo that appeals to most Scots.

Because we are the coolest kids around and they appreciate us as much as we appreciate them.
Will also help that they got their break in Glasgow with Alan McGee, doubt they’ll ever forget that.

Agree with Noel's recent comments about Scotland tbh. Hadrian had the right idea.

What comments, when he called them a third world country?

Predominantly white working classes in Scotland. Celtic connection. World changing gigs including King Tuts, The Barrowlands and Murryfield. Generally a world leading thinking people.

Agree with Noel's recent comments about Scotland tbh. Hadrian had the right idea. And yet still better than a fascist England. Best of luck with Farage, Johnson and co.

Can't comment too much, being south of the border, but from the time I've spent in Scotland outside of Edinburgh I'd say the working-class spirit is definitely what resonates. Possibly my favourite thing about being in Scotland was how down-to-earth (and VERY funny) most of the people were.

Come on matt, don’t tar us all with the same brush because of one wankers comment. I’ve said it before but always worth repeating. I love Scotland, great country, great people.

Is there a reason why a Gallagher wouldn't be popular in Scotland? Is there some sort of bigotry aimed between the two cultures?

Returning that sentiment in equal measure makes me a wanker?

I take it you’ve met everyone in Scotland? My uncle was a Scot, he hated Westminster, he hated the England football team but he didn’t hate anybody just for being from England. That’s how the vast majority of Scots I’ve met feel about things.

The same attitude used against black people is not okay just because scots aren't oppressed.

Not aimed at you Tom or English folk by any means, just the Tory bastards whose thinking is that way inclined. I live in London so I’m going to be burdened just as much by these wankers.
