So I've been hearing things like "This song sounds like dreamer by Ozzy Osbourne" , "This song ripped off Dreamer by Ozzy". It definitely sounds like it, don't get me wrong, but there are some important melodic differences. I wouldn't be surprised if it was pure coincidence. Do you think it was an intentional rip off, or just coincidence.

It sounds more like Little By Little.
You can even sing the Little By Little lyrics over verse - and vice versa.
Even the bridges are similar, but Little By Little breaks into a chorus where Wandering Star doesn't.

I hadn't heard "Dreamer" by Ozzy Osbourne until yesterday and quite honestly I'm surprised that so many people here heard it to the extent that so many comparisons were being made. I just never would have thought people would be able to so readily recall a song that is eight-albums deep into Ozzy's solo career.

So with that in mind, the song that I had in my head after listening to Wandering Star was Ocean Colour Scene's Better Day, which is really nothing like Wandering Star but, oddly, has the same Imagine-vibe as Dreamer and also has a similar sounding first line.

I also think the intro bit in Wandering Star that comes back later for the middle 8 sounds like The Gun's Sunshine, which I know that Noel has namechecked as a personal favourite before.

I do think it's a bit similar to Little By Little but not excessively so. However, I certainly wouldn't put them back to back in the setlist, as I believe he's been doing.

I feel that the wandering star verse is reminiscent of the dreamer verse but not in a carbon copy exact replica kind of way. On a side note I can thank my brother in exposing me to a lot of Ozzy over the years and I’ve come to the opinion that Him and Liam are very similar singers in a way. Both maybe not the most technical savvy of singers but have a uniqueness in their voice and quite frankly and it sounds weird to say but it’s true a coolness in the way they pronounce the lyrics that is unmatched and elevates the songs in my opinion.
