I'll blame the ECB and those Channel 4 wankers who refused to bid for it. And the BBC for not bothering and Sky for being total fuckers

You should have seen the face of football-cum-cricket commentator Simon Hill, grinning like a schoolboy

Parko!! Yeh mate....seriously its not looking too good for both of em...
it will put too much pressure on the likes of kaspa and gillespie...and gillispie's havent a real shit run of bowling atm...both have been rather expensive!! what other bowlers do australian have to replace brett and glen dya reckon?
maybe nathan bracken will come into the side?

mate id love to see Bracken given a call up the man is a class act....left arm bowls with a superb natural swing it would add some diversity to our attack.... i heard a rumour they have called up stuart clarke already though... could be a long 5 days at old trafford....

Thats so tru isnt it...Bracken always get a shitload of outswing doesnt he...Apparently old trafford is a pretty decent spinners wicket...maybe Warne & Macgill
But stuart clarke??!! Whats he like? Its been sometime since he last played for Oz. Has he ever done anything special for australian cricket? LOL
Anyway, its gonna be a tough time for us...doesnt matter, at least they are showing it on tv...makes for good late nite viewing

Plenty more wickets for Mr Warne. I reckon McGill will come into the team if the pitch is dry

i know. but he can't get a big score every time. still our day.
shocked to see McGrath playing.

I was scared when i saw McGrath but he isn't at his best just yet. He would have prefered a day or two in the pavillion relaxing. And about Pietersen, all he had to do was duck and slowly end the day without losing another wicket, Bell did it easily.

bell played well, i thought. Freddie next to come, we should get over 400 easily.

This pitch should give us 500. It's dead, even Shane Warne couldn't get much from it

a big score, sure. we'll probably need one.

400 isn't good enough on this pitch.

the aussies did drop about 5 catches (snigger), so it's not completely dead. we do need a big score.

I really don't know why hoggard got picked. If the pitch is dead he's useless. Tremlett should have been picked. He'll join Harmison and Flintoff by get loads of bounce from the pitch

Hoggard's not having a good series.
i've not really seen Tremlett bowl all that much but he couldn't do any worse than Hoggard.

My point is Hoggard is only good on a pitch with swing. He isn't tall or very fast so he won't get much bounce from the pitch. Tremlett is huge so at least he would get bounce and casue trouble.

It's good work from Bell. I was thinking that he should be replaced by Butcher but he's done well so he deserves another match.
