Chorus really is about to take off and then...nope.
Not digging the “my-o’my” ending to the chorus. He could have come up with something better.
Still would rather have a nice little melodic tune like this than anything else.
(And yes the first part of the verse IS the song Dreamer by Ozzy)

Sounds great. That's more like it. All of the songs he sings, he wrote for you x The first time I watched the video, I misheard the lyrics. I thought he had sang 'all the songs you sing, I wrote a few' which would have been a light hearted liam jab. Turns out those are not the lyrics but it would have been a good line.

All this hype for a country song? He nicked the verse melody from Ozzy Osbourne's Dreamer. exactly my first thought.

Still wondering what's the meltdown element 🤔 Is it gonna be the horn section? If so that is not Meltdowns worthy. Noel’s done tons and tons of horns in his solo career. TDOYAM springs to mind instantly. Surely it’s the Christmas Bells. The recording quality is pretty bad but you can hear them. X

FFS, the 'hype' was just people on here. Chill and wait until you hear the full thing not on an Insta story, maybe?
Also, for anyone who hasn't noticed, Noel is wearing Liam's shades (well, the same ones that he had on all the time in 2017) in these pics, which I found funny

It sounds nice.
Can't say much more really, but I hope it won't sound like a cheesy "Noel on autopilot" tune. It's promising so far.

At least some bit of Vintage Noel again. Would been a good b-side during DBTT/DOYS era so still far better than Beautiful World or that kinda stuff

I like this song but I’m NOT hearing a Christmas #1 here. Noel is never having another #1. I’m not sure if an Oasis reunion could produce that in today’s world. Who knows. Definitely not solo grumpy cat Noel.

Just listened to the whole thing - it's a pretty Noel by numbers tune and yeah, best thing he's probably going to release so far. He's too good at this. The chorus sounded like a massive bridge leading to an expansive DLBIA style chorus, so when the next verse began I didn't expect it.

Definitely not solo grumpy cat Noel. It definitely would. They still have a giant youth audience to this day solely based on the 90s and Stop Crying Your Heart Out. Liam and Noel's name alone can carry recognition, but to have it in the charts as oasis is transcendent.

It’s always their esoteric promo and release schedules. I know this example is from 11 years ago but they totally fumbled the TSOTL release. Didn’t come out physically or count to the charts until almost a full month after being released to radio. Sank their #1 single run. I could easily see them muff the punt.
