Because it sounds like britpop. For everyone outside that world, it's the same shit. Roll With It or Great Things by Echobelly, it's the same song and sound.
Just for someone who only lives in that world and only listen to that kind of music, difference is so big. For everyone else, whether they don't know shit about music or they have much wider music taste, all those songs and albums sounds the same. Oasis, Blur, Suede...they are more similar than they any of them will ever admit.
Ofc that they don't sound 100% the same but they all have that mid 90s British sound, same production, song structures etc.
And it's more than obvious that Oasis were going for that sound. DM was maybe not britpop, we can call it alternative or indie rock or whatever. But on MG not only that we have 100% britpop songs like Roll With It and She's Electric...whole album has that vibe and production.
