Noel said he thought Jean Genie was Bowie's most American sounding song and it got me thinking about this.
My vote goes to Lord Don't Slow Me Down

Outside of the vocals, I think morning glory is similar to the mid to late 90s US alternative scene.

Songbird the live version with Noel doing backing vocals that sounded very American 90s rock.
That or Flashbax.

No. No. No. Don’t you ever combine the holiness of Oasis with the Yanks. Thought the OP was Zingbot. 😡

FWIW, Americans love She’s Electric.
They ignore the amazingness of DM, and like She’s Electric. You can’t trust Americans.

My Big Mouth is so american. So is stand by me. No wonder BHN hit it big in the US. I think it was their most successful album.

BHN(Us billboard 200, #2) MG(Us billboard 200 #4) That is true, but a lot of that success was because of the success of MG & the singles, especially Wonderwall. BHN hasn't lasted as well as MG, or even DM, has.

Wonderwall is the only widely remembered Oasis single in America. Don't go away and d'ya know what I mean were hits at the time. Champagne Supernova was too and DLBIA was a bit of a hit. You'll still occasionally hear CS on U.S. rock radio.

Oasis chart hits ranked (top 40) Wonderwall (Us billboard hot 100 number 8) Champagne Supernova(us billboard radio songs #20) Don't go away(us billboard radio songs #35) Live forever(us billboard radio songs #39) D'ya know what I mean (top 50) DLBIA(top 60)
Pretty much it, although SCYHO and TSOTL entered the billboard hot 100.
Feel free to add to and remove from this post. I am running on memory.

Feel free to add to and remove from this post. I am running on memory. Also drawing from memory but I believe on modern rock radio airplay, CS and Wonderwall both went #1, and for months on end, too. Live Forever and Don't Go Away went Top 5 for a while, and DLBIA, Supersonic, DYKWIM were Top 10 hits, though the latter did not have much staying power at all despite being in fairly heavy rotation on alt radio and daytime MTV for a lot of that summer. These are really the only Oasis songs that have still gotten some form of regular radio play in more recent years. I hear CS pretty frequently on FM stations, more than Wonderwall these days, as well as DLBIA on occasion. Live Forever pops up once in a blue moon too. On satellite radio, you'll hear all those semi-frequently as well as the other 3 on the 90s alt station. There were some other more minor hits on rock radio at the time (ie. Morning Glory and All Around the World, the latter of which was played on MTV much more than on radio) that are now all but forgotten. I think DLBIA peaked in the 50s on the Hot 100, but made it to #30-something on the pop airplay chart as well. SCYHO didn't chart at all. Zero impact in the states sadly.
