Not a band, but too good an opportunity to pass up:

Been listening to Les Savy Fav recently after a long while. Loved them years back.
Would have had the chance to see them at Melt Festival 2011 but Pulp played at the same time so I unfortunately had to pass.

I encourage everyone to go away, listen to the new album by The Medium called 'Get it While It's Hot' and come back. Fucking brilliant, hold your judgement til the end - very Beatles inspired and I think they sound sensational.

Band is (or was) called PARA ALTA. I thought they were great, dreamy guitars and catchy, emotion-rich songs, nostalgic British vibe. Well worth a listen, this is a fantastic song which I listen to often:

Starting off, The Real Kids. This is one of the best power pop songs ever.

Los Campesinos.
But they wouldn’t be a no name band on here if people listened to me and listened to them! Fuck you all.

The Shore: They never made it big but were an American Verve/Oasis loving group.

Outside Sweden: Svenne Rubins. Sabaton aren't helping either.

The Shore: They never made it big but were an American Verve/Oasis loving group. I'm a major fan of their debut. If it was released in the mid to late 90s it would've been a smash hit. Thank you mimmihopps for introducing me to them. Their other two albums following it never were as sublime.

Definitely, no doubt at all! Their debut album was/still is brilliant and I really loved it (I still do!). Actually we have to thank globe who recommend them to me 14 years ago. Two debut albums in that time (2004- 2005) released by American bands were more British than any British bands. 1 is the self titled debut album by The Shore and the other one is Hot Fuss by The Killers. Both albums are time less.

Ninet Tayeb gets a mention here. Simply brilliant and her work with Steven Wilson (street team here 😂) made me fall in love:
