We all remember the year 2000 fondly, the furbies had invaded, and y2k blah blah....but back then turning 2000 brought a lot of exaggerated futuristic ‘promises’, and looking at the year 2020 it kind of has that futuristic look to it too. I’m a firm believer of the Singularity, and I hope to live to see it. Virtual and augmented reality, too. The 2020s hold more promise than the (early) 2000s ever did. My Saturday night gift to you flairy, ( igotflair).

But I see you’re seemingly in the same boat and this boat has capsized long ago mate. As I wish I wasn’t.

Maybe we can find the finest local brothel. Let me know if you want to go on ‘the Patrol.’ Thanks.

The 2000's because so much has happened in that time and we now think about these things more realistically. VR that works for everyone feels like it's just around the corner.

Tagging me and it’s not even a Friday??😯Bloody hell Beady’s Here Now I’m too young to remember much about 2000!!! Was still in primary school! I believe in the Singularity to a point, I think by 2045 we won’t have any devices or keyboards - we’ll connect to the internet by brainwaves. I also think by then we’ll lose a lot of human communication. I’ve ticked 2020 🤷♀️

I think 2000 seemed more futuristic. We were entering a new millennium. 2020 is just another year.
Not to mention that in 2000, we were looking forward as a society. In those 20 years since, we've regressed in so many ways.

Hahahaaha that 2000 futuristic shit was so funny now. Many singers named their albums just 2000 and made some futuristic albums covers, with some shiny eyes and shit.
