Wait, is Liam's tweet referring to Spike Stent of Standing on the Shoulder of Giants? Because if so .... HOLY SHIT this is going to be amazing. I really hope that is who he means. It is!
And now I'm giddy as fuck.

My fave of the other many album HYPE tweets (especially for those who said they'd riot) :

He also mixed Heathen Chemistry and look how that album turned out lol No mixing engineer is Rumpelstiltskin. The gold has to already be there! But he's certainly one of the best in the biz and he also understands what makes people say "has that Oasis feel." Anyway, just exciting that it's being mixed. What will be will be.

I was just making the point to not expect a killer album just because he's involved. Hopefully we get to hear the first single sooner rather than later. Christmas time maybe? It was great getting All You're Dreaming Of last year around Christmas time.

Mh it's interesting, let's hope they'll manage to make the album sound like an actual album and not like a playlist. It won't be easy though. My mate and I called Morning Glory a playlist back in October 1995! And you were right. MG has so many flaws as an album but songs are just too good so fuck it xD.

I'm glad the guy who mixed SOTSOG also mixes Liam's new album. I've always loved the SOTSOG mix compared to all the other Oasis albums.

Spike mixed the first 2 DMA'S albums so apart from his work on SOTSOG I'm definitely all over this now

Guys I don't wanna be a buzzkiller but there is a bit of confusion Mark was not only the mixer on sotsotg, he was the producer too
I'm sure he's great as a mixer, don't get me wrong, he has mixed lots and lots of albums of different artists (muse, Coldplay, ed Sheeran etc). He has mixed wmwn and ayw too, so this is not a news at all I would be hyped if he had produced coyk

I remember in those TF interviews Noel said that on Giants, Spike’s forte was in the technical/engineering side of it; hence why he’s best known for mixing. I don’t know if he’s enough of a musician to produce by himself.

I think Liam said that TWIN is on it as well for those who are bothered about Liam contributions on the record

I read that on his Twitter page too. I'm really looking forward to hearing Mike Spike’s Stent production on Liam's new album as I always liked his production on the Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants album.

I forgot that Mike Spike Stent also mixed Liam's previous two albums. As for the first single release I guess it would depend on how many singles they're planning on releasing before the album release.

Mark, but yeah he mixed those and Heathen Chemistry, and stuff by pretty much everyone in mainstream British music the last 25 years.

Most of us can't really notice what difference a mixer makes. I'd prefer it if he was actually guest producing on one or two of the heavier tracks, I think Kurstin's work on tracks like CBTM, Shockwave and Halo were a bit tinny, he did a good job on WOG though.
Saying that Wyatt is good with the rockier stuff as well, Invisible Son, IDHTBTW and The River sound massive.

Yeah, I know that Stent has worked with a lot of people so he's very experienced. But I love the fact that he's working with Liam on his albums at the moment.
