Wow that’s unexpected. I thought that they gonna wait till the next year. Releasing a single (and the album in the not so distant future?) while there is no possibility for touring till the next summer at best... quite a ballsy move for him

Yeah that makes more sense

I bet he is doing his The World is in Need because of the times. He probably wants it to be his Imagine moment. We will claim it will be a track that will impact the world. It will end up being a high quality track just like the rest of his solo career but nobody outside of his fan base will care about and it won't have the global impact.
That said. Liam has earned my confidence that it will be a great effort.

Liam is a workaholic. He never stops. Prolific ! Yeah that's true. Personally I can't wait to hear something new from Liam.

That's great news if it's true. But we'll just have to wait and see as we all know what Liam and Noel are like when they talk about their new music. But anyway I'm really looking forward to hearing it.

It won't be easy to make a better album than wmwn Your opinion. I happen to think it’s far superior to As You Were and a killer album. Isn't that what He meant too by saying it is Not easy to make a better album than why ne why Not?

Hopefully it is better.
Don't think I've revisited it again from start to finish since a month after it's release. Too many duds on there.
The high points of the album are great though and Invisible Sun.

Hoping it's lot more As You Were and a lot less WMWN. Take out One of Us and there's nothing really worth revisiting on that LP, for me. The first record felt like a genuine Liam Gallagher album given some industry polish, the second felt like a industry-written radio-rock album that Liam Gallagher just happened to be singing.
More tunes like this, please:

I find WMWM (the album) very Liam-ish. I can't say the same about Paper Crown, Chinatown and Doesn't Have to Be That Way. But I will never understand this issue about the army of songwriters. There's A LOT more of Liam on Be Still and Once than on Live Forever.
Anyway, to me WMWN is a perfect album, every time I listen to it... I HAVE TO listen from the start to the end. Every tune is different and I love every second. I rank it as the best Gallagher's record with Moon. Tastes.
The only thing I don't love so much are the effects on Liam voice... I prefer his voice in songs like The River and Gone.
So hyped for album #3!

One of my favorite Liam vocal is Born On a Different Cloud. I love the roughness in his voice, and would like to hear more of it on newer records too.

I thought AYW was a more solid record but WMWN has the higher peaks, I don't really listen to them as a whole but I revisit a few of the tunes from WMWN regularly I wish Liam would work with a more diverse set of songwriters, but if this is his way now I'd rather Liam sing generic pop rock and have some input on it helped by solid and talented writers (which the guys he's working with clearly are) than them trying to rewrite Oasis tunes

One quick listen a year after then forget. Some tunes are a pain to listen to, like a bad rip from a leaked album early 00s, 128 kbps sound.
