I love that the story keeps changing about the Amsterdam ferry incident. It truly has reached legend status. The most recent before this was that it all started around Guigsy. Now, the podcast claims that it started when Bonehead had his clothes stolen. At least this is the second account that I have heard that mentions that Guigsy had just been made redundant and had £3,000 in cash on him. The funny thing is that its easy to believe any one of the stories told about it happened (and maybe all of them).

Or you could always listen to THE Oasis Podcast!
Remember this is basically a 4 part doc to tie in with the DM reissue. It’s fine for what it is - although I almost turned it off when they had a clip of an interview with former editor of The Sun Dominic Mohan.
2 more episodes to come of about 35 minutes each.
Meanwhile over at the Oasis Podcast I’ve done 92 episodes averaging about 90 minutes each...

Pretty much just very, very long adverts for an album we've all already bought multiple times.

Nice hearing them going into the graphic design of the logo etc. Hopefully it keeps nerding out.

I have yet to listen to Episode 3 & 4, but I see that they read my posts in this thread as the final two episodes are much longer.

I thought episode 5 was a nice summary of not only Definitely Maybe, but Oasis as a phenomenon. I suppose that the jaded among us probably view that episode as an attempt to improve people's perception of the band, but I found some of the stories shared to be very genuine and credible. Clint Boon's stories about hanging out with Noel when he was a roadie and the American representatives story about how the band would visit sick/terminally ill fans while on tour gives us a bit of a glimpse at the humans behind the machine. Granted, like the other episodes, there wasn't a whole lot of new stuff in there. However, I felt that they did a good job capturing what 1993-1996 Oasis meant to all of us.
