Out of curiosity, I was just listening to 'Life Got Cold' by Girls Aloud, which is the song Noel has a writing credit on due to that ripped-off Wonderwall melody on the chorus. The funny thing I noticed was how similar the chords of that song are to the end section of Everybody's On The Run! Including that opening guitar line, where it sounds a bit like the string line from EOTR also.
So I'm wondering if Noel, deliberately or otherwise, was 'influenced' by the Girls Aloud song that ripped him off!? Quite a funny thing to consider. It also makes you wonder where certain other ideas came from...

Too much Nickelback with the vocal intro on the studio cut.

Though I think my favourite version of that song would have been Liam-sung with some decent instrumentation (i.e. if Gem and Chris had played on it)

Also, just to throw it out there the EOTR outro chord sequence has been used in songs a million times before.

they're not aloud at all, their singing is very soft to me. Disappointing. I was expecting some Mariah Carey style vocals.

Maybe it just goes to go my obsession with Noel's output that the first thing I thought of, when I played that song, was EOTR. It IS a similar tempo also... Gonna do a mashup youtube video, even though it'll probably get removed.

Girls Aloud stole #1 single from Danger! High Voltage by Electric Six, so I don't mind if Noel stole chords from them. So fuck them
