Well, I think Sir Clive (who can really be taken seriously being called Sir Clive?? I mean really say it out loud to yourself!) went through a list of names, and if they had a World cup winners medel then they were it.
I think think the damage has been done to be honest, and they still don't have a decent hooker. Seriously, I could play better than Thompson, and i'm the scrawniest hooker in the world, and i've got a broken bone in my back! Sorry, but Thompson annoies me. He can't throw and has all the agility of a brick. A really stupid brick...
I think we might just scrape this one, I'd say Lions by 3, but don't think we'll win the series. Too many injuries. Too many missed tackles. And not enough Welsh.
So how come you're into rugby Giggergrl?

The best player in the 1st test was Johnny Wilkinson an ENGLISHMAN. The fact that the team played poorly in the 1st test was down to all 15 players, to say it was down to the English is crap. Yes I would probably have had more Welshmen (most certainly Shane Williams) in the team but I would also have had Matt Dawson at scrum half, he is a far faster thinker than Peel.

How about Cussiter!? Who on form is the best scrum half out there. Peel will never miss a tackle though to be fair. I'm not saying the English shouldn't be in the team at all, but I am saying that there is a Grand Slam winning team, who have been completely overlooked. And to say he was the best pler in the First test is nothing to brag about, becuase all round it was a pretty piss poor display.
I'm not putting it down to the English in general, i'm putting it down to one or two people who happen to be English. Woodward, Thompson, Kay, Back. And yes I know that Thompson didn't start but really, he is not the second best hooker in the UK. Dishounarable mention goes to Byrne and R. Jones. Where as the backline just gave absolutely nothing in terms of attack. The wingers never saw the ball to be fair to them, we might as well have played with 13 men.
Sir Clive got both his tactics and selection very wrong, and worse still, is that when the time came, and you wanted to bring on the likes of Henson and Williams, and Bulloch, they were no-where to be found, because he filled his bench with players that are more like replacements than game changers. With 8 minutes to go, why bring on Dawson!? What difference will a player like that make at that stage? Grewcock and Greenewood aren't exactly the most inventive players are they. They quite simply shouldn't have been there.

The Ref was nearly as bad as the lions. NZ through lineout ball straight to the player, pushed early and spun the scrum, and didn't get penalised. But worst was not sin binning the tackle at the line out. Then the second try had a forward pass. I know the lions still would have lost as they persisted with kicking every time they got in the NZ half, but it may have been a slightly tighter game if there was a decent ref.
AND DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THE O’DRISCOLL TACKLE.

Ah well looks like we got that one wrong! I missed the game cause I was absolutely hammered last night but I think by all accounts it was a bit of a disaster for the lions against the greatest rugby team in the world at the moment. But thank goodness its not a world cup year, because there would just be no competition for the all blacks.

the allblacks embaressed us! they were fitter, faster & stronger! they wanted it more & were better prepaired which is outrageous as this was meant to be the most prepaired lions squad ever!!! "sir" clive should hand his knight hood back! seriously tho the allblacks played the most compleate rugby preformance ever!!

Yeah, totally. I haven't seen the stats but i bet that the missed tackles and unforced error count are stupidly low.
