Damn, time flies. I've only been a fan for five years and wasn't even born when DM was released but still I'll never forget the moment I listened to this masterpiece for the first time. Of course, it's not as impressive to remember listening to an album five years later (compared to 25ish years) but considering my own age, that's quite a long time for me although I also get the impression that the years are flying by. Hehe that's a pretty cool take on things. Honestly, those 25 years dont feel like it. They feel more like 5 years, just like you Glad Oasis is still relevant today, we hoped back in those days they would end up being like the Beatles, timeless, it's pretty cool to see it happening. The Beatles were to us what Oasis is to you. amazing and scary at the same time.

It would have been nice if they included a rare gig from the Definitely Maybe Tour, or even a Liam version of Sad Song as others have said. Having said that, it looks like a great item to collect for any Oasis fan

Don't have it on vinyl so suppose I'll get the silver one. Have heard some not so good things about the Chasing the Sun pressings, which I imagine is just the same as this new pressing.

Who will be on some form of L4E celebrating the 50th anniversary? I know I will.

Nice to see the vinyl reissued, but I'd hoped Big Brother might mark the anniversary by releasing some of the tracks absent from the Chasing the Sun reissue, such as the demo of Live Forever and the Liam-sung version of Sad Song.
I'd like to hear the flat 24/96 transfers of the first three albums, which formed the basis for the Chasing the Sun reissues. Would be great to hear them with no additional limiting or EQ applied, just a straight copy of the half-inch analogue master tapes. That might be a good selling point (hear the albums exactly as they sounded in the studio), but at the same time it's hard to imagine NG approving a release that isn't brickwalled.

My picture vinyl has come today, but I haven't had chance to play it yet. Which version is the album, the original one or the remastered one?

However...every time I listen to the BHN remaster I am more and more convinced they didn't go back to the master tapes AT ALL, that it's just the digital master from 1997 turned down a bit and with the treble/harshness turned down also (some of the songs, e.g. It's Gettin Better Man, sound like shit as a result of this). I'd bet anything that they didn't go back to the tapes and it was all done digitally. The 'remastered' b-sides also sound friggin awful, and definitely distort in the same places as before, so it's not a proper remaster. The only real remaster is Noel's messing with DYKWIM, cause they HAD to go back to the tapes then, seeing as he was remixing it too.

Listened to the album again today, and guess what? It's still fucking amazing. The joy I get from 90's Oasis just never, ever diminishes. Every melodic guitar lick, every unforgettable chorus, none of them lose their ability to make me get up and enjoy the moment, not one little bit. It's a beautiful thing.
