I am not sure this is from the touring band sessions. On the YouTube link it mentions that Noel is the sole musician and Emre Ramazanoglu mixed it. Emre is one of David Holmes guys and mixed and drummed on WBTM. We know David and Noel disagreed on a couple of tracks and perhaps This is the Place didn't make the cut.

I think Noel would have credited Holmes if he was genuinely involved. He could’ve just used Emre again after enjoying working with him previously? Even though Holmes himself was busy. Wasn’t the big leftover Holmes track meant to sound like The Velvet Underground? And this track definitely fits into the “I’ve been writing on a bass” mould he mentioned after the Holmes sessions had finished. X

I really wish it had made it onto the album if that's the case. Should have been saved for LP4 at the very least. I honestly reckon we might see LP4 next year. It'll just be 9 songs from 3 EPs plus one more new one

Putting aside all the other things in the guardian interview, what Noel said about Holmes was the most insightful part, I reckon he'd reached a point where he knew he had reached his limits production wise and working with Holmes he has learnt a hell of a lot,the influence of David Holmes will be far reaching throughout the rest of Noels career but I don't think it's a leftover

In his last interview Noel mentioned finding this tune's chorus very recently... He might have messed with with while recording with Holmes but I don't believe is the song David couldn't believe Noel wasn't gonna put on WBTM

It'll just be 9 songs from 3 EPs plus one more new one In all seriousness, a proper new album in Oct 2020 isn’t out of the realms of possibility. We got these EPs approximately 6 months after he worked on them. He’s definitely improved his work ethic of late. Does he have any touring plans after the U2 dates in Nov? I don’t think so? If his new studio is ready by then there’s no point going on a massive break and not using it... X

I was clearly wrong in my original post Well not necessarily. In his Radio X interview he did say he'd had this song idea for about 4 years and had been noodling with it. But it clicked in the last six months or so.

If it influences his future recordings then I'm officially done with Noel as a solo artist. I'll stick to Oasis catalog and the music Liam is making... Not wasting my time with this silliness.. only crazy obsessed fans could convince themselves these are actually good songs.

So I think he'll disappear for a bit. Has been around almost full on since 2015 with gigs and records.

But in the past he’s ripped people off after he’s moved on from them. In this case, he still wants to work with Holmes again and is still very positive about him. So in this instance, I believe the old Holmes version of TITP sounds very different and so justifies his name not being down as producer. Of course, I now want to hear the original Holmes sessions version... X

See Mossy, told you months ago (or was it years ago ?) he would release his leftovers from those sessions. He just completely changed it and re-recorded it, but he did Seems like it was that one song he said was not completely finished then. do we have official credits yet ? Pretty sure we have not heard yet the songs he recorded with his bands, if they indeed did record those. maybe next year, a surprise LP ?

It’s a leftover alright, that’s for sure.
