First off, in layman’s terms can someone define Middle Eight? Why dont all songs have one?
But further, the middle eight really saves both songs (Shakermaker moreso in my opinion - more to do with the weakness of the song itself), so this is a fair poll to posit. They are very similar songs in this regard.
Take away all your biases for both songs, and just simply which is the better middle eight?

The middle eight on Shakermaker is my favourite moment of any Oasis song. It's incredibly catchy and the way Liam sings it with so much passion and conviction makes it even better. Believe it or not, I once cropped that part and set it as my phone ringtone.
