What it says on the tin, like.
As a staunch critic of Pretty Green, it’s a hard no for me.
Overpriced for what, exactly? And it played its part in the demise of Oasis. Nah not worth it, mate.

In the early days yes, they had some quality stuff.

Yeah - I’ve bought a few things from PG and they’ve all been very good quality.

I went in there a lot, hoping to find something I actually liked to buy, but never did. Stupidly overpriced as well, to the point where I'd of felt like a mug had I bought something.
Also I think after Beady Eye split Liam was embarrassed by PG, when he realised that was now what he was seen as doing, compared to Noel's initial massive solo music success.

He hated Noel snuggling up to the media, yet he was effing around with a clothing line??

And it played its part in the demise of Oasis. That's just what Noel said because he didn't want it to succeed, not necessarily the truth. Stupidly overpriced as well, to the point where I'd of felt like a mug had I bought something. Depends at which point of time you did that. Pretty Green 2009-2012 belongs to the best casual menswear that ever existed. And while it wasn't cheap, the prices were definitely justified given the great design and high quality of the stuff. From ca. 2013 on, quality began to suffer and things tended to become overpriced, but the real downward spiral began ca. 2015 when they started these constant sales, wanted to attract the mass market and the quality wasn't even good enough to justify purchases at 50% off.
Over the years, I've bought probably 150+ PG items. Everything from mugs, scarves and bags to knits, macs, parkas and suits. And if there's one thing I can say then that there's no other clothing brand with which I have experienced as many quality issues as with PG after ca. 2015. Buttons coming off, shrinking, colour fading etc. I kept on buying for some time because the design was so great but basically stopped in 2017. Their last hurrah were the MIE parkas.
I doubt the "White Label" samples Liam wore will still see the light of the day but we still have to wait some time to see what JD Sports plans are until ca. next summer as it takes some time to design and produce new stuff.
At the moment, I'm a bit sceptical that they'll be going for a different business model than stuff for parka monkeys and LG lookalikes.

I'm a huge fan of Pretty Green. Bought a fair few items in the early days but the constant sales just made me wait for them, no point buying a t shirt for £40 when it'll be £20 odd a month later.
I've got well over 100 items, but lately i buy a lot off ebay, as my wife pointed out 45 items the last few months ! Ebays a risk, some you can tell have shrunk a ton but i've got some great brand new tops with tags on dirt cheap also so swings and roundabouts.
Also like it when i'm out and someone just chats to you as they know you'll be a big Oasis/Liam fan, happened quite a few times specially at festivals.
Some of the other collections are crap, the acid one and that one the other month with some woman designing it, nah. For me it has to have the badge on, hate it when theres a decent looking top or shirt but no badge
Still find the clothes of a good quality, just keep on telling the missus (or mother in law if she thinks shes 'helping') not to wash at 40 as it often seems to shrink then

Can only imagine the sort of shit people are walking around in on here if they think Pretty Green is overpriced.
Its very modestly priced for a designer label.
To put it in perspective - Paul Weller brought out a bunch of jumpers with a star plastered on and charged £150. That went bust within a few months.
Now pretty green has gone to online with one shop it will grow very quickly. Whoever thought it was a good idea to expand the high street stores so quickly was a moron.

^Exactly. I didnt mind the original price as its a catch 22, yeah it was as bit more 'high end' (not too expensive) but if its dirt cheap then every little oink will be wearing it and it'll saturate the brand.
Saying that the constant sales they have didnt help really.

Its very modestly priced for a designer label. It's not a designer label anymore. In fact is has nothing in common with the former designer label "Pretty Green" apart from the name and logo. And I have to agree that stuff is overpriced nowadays (the RRPs!) though it's cheaper than it used to be. Because a) the quality went down and b) the stuff is now on sale for 4+ months a year anyway. Wouldn't buy anything from them that isn't 50% off. That definitely wasn't the case a few years ago.
Just check their sale page. It now lasts nearly two months and there's still enough stock to fill a complete warehouse.

Well, I got a nice black cord jacket from PG so I'm gonna say it was more than worth it.

i came on board in 2017 but I love the PG products I've bought even if the material on one of them could be better.

Not sure if this a common complaint but both me and my mate feel the quality isn't great. I've had loads of polos shrink even though I'm following the washing instructions. So I just stopped buying it. Shame because I love how it looks, might give it another go and be extra careful when washing. Maybe even buy a size up in case it does shrink 😂

At the moment, I'm a bit sceptical that they'll be going for a different business model than stuff for parka monkeys and LG lookalikes. Completely agree. The early Pretty Green stuff was excellent. The quality was really good and noticeably better than a lot of similar labels. The pricing was reasonable and the designs were decent - there was nothing too 'out there' as it was mainly copies of traditional designs with a bit of a twist, but definitely the sort of gear I'd buy and wear. I don't know what the fuck happened around 2015 ish but it went rapidly downhill. The quality was much poorer and they seemed in a constant rush to wheel out as much tat with a Pretty Green logo on as humanly possible. A lot of the shit they were churning out was exactly the sort of mass market stuff you'd see on ASOS or Topman which is exactly the opposite market they'd originally tried to attract. I used to look forward to the new releases when it was just a select few lines each year but I can't remember the last time I looked at any PG clothes nevermind bought any. Sports Direct stocked PG even before the buy out. That says it all for me.

Early PG was cool. I have tons of it - polo shirts, grandad collar T shirts, leather jacket, safari jacket, a really cool fur jacket, suede shoes, and a blazer.
Some of the cool stuff I wear really gets noticed, but as others have mentioned on here, the later PG stuff became rather cheap and tacky, and I stopped buying it recently.

If you watch this video then go to the site, you'll see that they've basically violated everything they stood for in the beginning. They're catering to soy-latte sipping hipster subhumans, chavs and bummers now.

Echoing a few comments on here - the early jackets and t shirts were good quality.
Later stuff just just felt a bit cheap and not as exclusive.

The only thing I ever bought from them was the phone case. Which was rubbish, cos I upgraded a few weeks later.
