You’ve been hit by, you’ve been struck by a smooth VAR. #SheffieldUtd
What a colossal error. It was a clear goal, even without the bloody replay!
Good to be back, lads lol

jermaine jenas knows the score. this is on the same level as 'kick racism out of football' circa mid-90s. great sentiment, but did it really change anything?

Fucking wonderful logic that. yes, and making up catchy slogans that dont actually address the issue or initiate any real change is also fantastic logic. instead of being sarcastic, maybe you could tell me exactly what kick it out accomplished in football? alot black players ended up boycotting the whole organisation for lack of action...

The sarcasm in my reply simply matched the glibness if your statement. What had Kick it Out Done? I am afraid I don’t have any facts or figures on that, but having an organisation that is trying to highlight and do something about racism in football has to be a good thing surely? Same with the BLM logos on the shirts - yes I get it can be viewed as a gimmick and you could argue doing that isn’t actually tackling anything, but surely if even only one kid who is watching a game and asks his or her parents “ why do they have that on the shirts instead of their names?”, that has to be a positive thing, right?

So many people are willing to blame a lack of a crowd for mediocre games forgetting that a significant number of games in normal times are of that standard. Added on to this that premier league crowds are often quiet.

and it all depends on what the kids parents tell him, which is part of why its a pointless excercise. it doesnt even explain its meaning, leaving it to the family to tell the kid their own views on the topic. and how much more awareness needs to be raised?! everyone who cares is aware. most people have been aware their whole lives. thats why nothing ever changes. people think raising awareness is actually doing something. once youre aware further action needs to be taken or you might aswell not be aware.
the original statement was glib because we've seen it all before.

There's definitely going to be a spike in cases directly attributable to the nobs who couldn't just stay home or at least go out with proper gear. Covidiots.
That said: CAMPIONEEEEE!!!!!!! SUCK IT, GALLAGHERS!!!!!!!

Liverpool equalled the record for the worst loss as champions in their first game as champions, apparently.

One of the problems following the Invincible season that is always overlooked is that both Ljungberg and Pires were in sharp decline at the exact same time.
Roman Abramovich changed the sport forever, mainly for the worst. And then Vieira and Henry both fucked off. But Ljungberg and Pires is the point of this quality post.

Alex Ferguson was able to keep rebuilding.

They did punish City. The club were found guilty of breaking FFP and had to play the Champion's League with a reduced squad. Then UEFA went after them again five years later with only a few leaked emails as evidence and the highest sports court in the world said the extra charges didn't stand up. I don't see why people are getting so hysterical about this. It's not about money (if you could buy off CAS, Russia would have a lot more olympic medals than it does), it's not about corruption, it's just UEFA conducting a flimsy, mishandled investigation into something they couldn't prove was true. Nothing of any importance will change because of the ruling.

Because FFP only seems work when it’s convenient, and doesn’t harm any of the big players. They are very quick at punishing small clubs but when it comes to man city oder Paris they either mishandle the case or make it so that it gets overturned within a heartbeat. They lost the authority by coming out with this drastic punishment that gets overruled a couple of months later. It’s a corrupt and broken system.

Ah well, that’s FFP fucked. The Premier League will now be a straight fight between oil loaded human rights abusing countries. Abu Dhabi (aka Man City) v Saudi Arabia (Newcastle).
