So, it's been tough months.
Profesionally and personally. But recording Like The Poker has helped me a lot. It's been such a complicate song to record and it's finally happening.
Like The Poker will be out on October 28th and the wait will be rewarded!!

seanrulesrh I got your message, I’ve neglected my messages a bit tbh but I’ll get through them all and reply when I can. Thank you for pointing me to this thread. Firstly, congratulations on your most recent release. I’ve had a listen and it sounds like a very polished, clean and complete piece which is great because it’s what the record companies who sign are looking for, the days of rough demos seem to be over. Your voice is distinctive and easy to listen to. This one is really quite different to your last, this is also a good thing because when pitching for a contract you need a couple of “signature” songs, but also a couple with some variety to account for different tastes within that genre. As far as the techie / production stuff goes I can’t really comment because I don’t know anything about this but it sounds all good to me. Personally this isn’t my go to genre so it’s difficult to give a rating objectively, however I do appreciate it’s a very well written piece of music and you should be very proud of it.

Don't bother getting signed. It's the age of the internet. Hire an A&R company, sign up for ASCAP and sell online for every penny of royalties. Record deals are how guys like the Beatles and Chuck Berry got screwed, fuck em. No managers no deals.

Burn them onto a disk(you can learn that online). Put them in a disk case, print the artwork, put it on the case, and ship off. Or hire some bozo on the internet, the choice is yours.

The writing is more basic compared to there's no place we might hide (in particular the bass) but I quite like that it's a bit bluesy like noel first album
The only problem I have with this song is that the chorus melody sounds like "come on outside"
Overall I like it, especially the production and the vocals (the sax solo is a nice touch)
Nice job, can't wait to hear more songs!

Yes, I must admit the idea of the song was to create something that had a little bit of jazz, bit of blues, bit of Noel and bits of Depeche Mode. Lyrically was written when I was in high school, but it was a dark year that one lol but yeah, I felt more satisfied when I finished this one that the other. There's No Place We Might Hide will have an EP mix that will sound much much better. But anyways, thank you so much for taking the time to listen and write a review my friend |

Just out of curiosity, how much money have you made through music so far. It will be out December 19 / January 20 I would say. And if I'm honest, recording my music haven't got me anything yet. The true cake is in doing gigs, I've done like 5 and I would say it has given me less than 200€, which honestly don't pay back what has costed recording it. But to me really the magic is in the process. I don't know where is this all going or where is it going to take me, but I certainly enjoy the ride |
