Answer: it’s not different.
Still have average songwriters and an average backing band, innit.

I personally prefer the solo stuff and would say it’s above average, but music is subjective! The backing band in Beady Eye is levels above what we have now though.

Beady Eye's best songs are miles better than any of the solo work. There was a lot of dross on both DGSS and BE though.

It’s massively different because he can sing again.
I thought Beady Eye was a good band and BE would’ve been fantastic if he had any power/range, but in my opinion, was ruined by his vocals.
I think that Flick, FLW. The Roller, Soon Come Tomorrow, Shine a Light, and Soul Love are all mega and better than a lot of Oasis tunes.

Beady Eye did a terrible job at publicizing themselves. Does anyone else remember when we couldn't figure out if Flick Of The Finger was an official single or not? Off At The Next Exit stuck in there as a B-SIDE??? Big fails.
I do actually believe As You Were collectively had significantly better songs than the Beady Eye albums though. Sometimes the simplest explanation is the correct one.

More quality control than in Beady Eye - but they had some good tunes as well as a lot of filler.

I enjoyed a lot of Beady Eye’s stuff, not so much the ballads, but most of it wasn’t bad.
I think the difference now is different management. Warner with his professional management and Roy and Sam Eldridge with his personal management leaving the Gwythers to more personal assistant type roles. I’d like to know how Beady Eye would have done if they had this better management/promo. Some of the songs were definitely good enough.

You can't do Oasis without Noel, that's what Beady Eye were. It was never going to work.

I’d like to know how Beady Eye would have done if they had this better management/promo. Some of the songs were definitely good enough. If they had chosen a better name, played Oasis songs on gigs and Liam had his 2017/18 voice they'd have done MUCH better. Most of the tunes on the albums are ok, a few of them are really great and the 42.42 remixes are ace.

I listened to Beady Eye again last week, and DGSS and BE sounded a bit better to me than As You Were. Less commercial.
Happy to see some people think that his solo songs written by his songwriters are no better than Gem or Andy's. TBH i'm kinda sad they did not try harder. BE was a step in the right direction, Liam's voice was amazing on this record.

So after all the shit Beady Eye received on this forum, and now that Liam has a successful solo career...it´s time to say that Beady Eye were a top band! better than Liam solo, with best Liam´s vocals of this decade...

That Soon Come Tomorrow remix is a thing of beauty. Too bad they were never released properly. That Pretty Green 7" only features two edited songs and is completely overpriced nowadays. better than Liam solo, with best Liam´s vocals of this decade...

I think BDI were a sperimental, so indie and retro band. They try to be different (name of First album explane It). A lot of arrangement sound weird and uncommercial cause of this. But quality of songs and band was brilliant, Liam voice not. Hits choice was wrong too. Three ring circus, Just Sayin, Evil Eye could be easy commercial hits. At the time Liam said they had b-side songs like Oasis, ok i agree about quality, but hits werent like Oasis at all. Now its more simple, not weird stuff(bring the light was horrible and unsuccessfull as single).

Answer: it’s not different. Still have average songwriters and an average backing band, innit. I don't agree. His solo stuff so far has been better. Probably because the songwriters in BeeDeeIii were below average. Their bottom level was shocking.

Warner with his professional management and Roy and Sam Eldridge with his personal management leaving the Gwythers to more personal assistant type roles. I’d like to know how Beady Eye would have done if they had this better management/promo. Some of the songs were definitely good enough. You see, I just don't think they were. I don't mind Beady Eye. I like every member of it, but it was wrong place wrong time and the songs simply weren't there to carry them through. They were songs left over from the last two (three?) Oasis albums. They weren't up to scratch, ultimately. That's not to say I don't like some tunes. Standing On The Edge Of The Noise, Flick Of The Finger, Four Letter Word, Millionaire, Soul Live, Don't Brother Me, Start Anew. I like them all in their own right. But they weren't good enough to carry the band. Ask most casual music fans and I'd wager they couldn't tell you one Beady Eye song. They had no stopping power.
