I've never really given Beady Eye a listen. Now I've heard a few songs. This song is so far by far my favorite. It's great!

The song was almost too simple, it needed a little more "epicness" to it. Solo at the end could have gone nuts, it stayed safe.

This is just my opinion (feel free to disagree)...but the only thing redeeming to me about the BE era is the b-sides (Evil Eye, Off At The Next Exit, etc). Can't stand the rest of it. Worst Gallagher album ever.

the live version is far superior imo when Gem closed out the song with a guitar solo. Shame we never got a full pro shot of a BE tour gig. overall I like start anew but it needed more work, like many beady eye tunes. It had potential but just didnt really achieve it, its abit repetitive and probably needed to go further after the drums kick in to really take the conclusion up a level.
I think "once" will be the song that this shouldve been.
I would still be interested to hear the full demo version that was on the SBOTA single. |

The BE album is not that bad. I still enjoy it from time to time. With the right tracklisting it's pretty good indeed. Ditch the bad rockers and throw in the bsides. |

Beautiful song. BE is a good album but there are the worst Liam's vocals ever. Somehow I am worried about liams vox on why me? Why not? Cause somehow his voice sounds not that good to me on shockwave. Especially during the verse. I dont know it just sounds forced raw. |

Start Anew works well on BE, but that was a bad single. I remember the radio host mocking the performance, saying something like "that"s it, no chorus??!!" or something.
