I actually don't mind Ed Sheeran but wouldn't want that. However I do agree with your idea in a broader sense. I do think the only way Liam's album will get noticed in the US is if he had simultaneously featured on a track from one of the big artists in the US even with a hip hop artist.

If he ever starts doing collaborations like Coldplay does I'll lose all hope on Liam's career.
And yeah, I know that hiring songwriters or getting Johnny Marr is also a form of collaboration but you know what I mean: Liam Gallagher feat Tylor Swift or something like that.
