Sorry, not sorry.
Only Oasis could write a song about telling God to fuck off.

One is an anthem, the other one is 3 minutes too long

Sorry, not sorry. Only Oasis could write a song about telling God to fuck off. The "met my maker" lyric is about papa Gallagher showing up unexpectedly at their hotel, no? Maybe I'm wrong. ----- I would be interested in an actual explanation for your claim though.

Champagne Supernova all the way, mate. DYKWIM is awesome and on a high level, but CS is on another level that is in the stratosphere and is one of the best things the band ever did. DYKWIM is a great Oasis song, but not as great as CS.

Champagne Supernova is a brilliant song. For some reason though I've just never really taken to it. I'd say I prefer DYKWIM but acknowledge Champagne Supernova is the better song.

Nicely done. Thanks keke. All that may well be true... there is still an eerie parallel between that and Noel's real life experiences in home life. Just sayin'.

Both are two of Oasis’s (Arguably) greatest songs ever. I think which is better only comes down to personal preference or your mood at the time.
My choice is easily DYKWIM but I’m just glad we had a band that gave us these 2 immense songs on record.
Then if we’re talking live performance, it’s a whole other dimension.

Personal preference aside, I'd have to say Champagne Supernova is the better track.
We still haven't heard the ideal version of DYKWIM, one that is somewhere between the original's swagger and the clarified space of the rethink, whereas Champagne Supernova is to all intents and purposes a perfect song.

I agree, DYKWIM is way better. One of their best tracks of all time (Rethink is superior). Champagne Supernova, for me, is just on the same list as other 'Loud mouth, boozey Oasis 'fan' songs' (Wonderwall, DLBIA, Lyla etc etc). Brendan Lynch Mix >>>> Album version

Champagne Supernova is by far superior in my opinion.
I do love DYKWIM’s swagger but as a song it actually not that great. Probably not even in my top 20 or so, where CS is top 2/3

Both awesome. But CS is my #1 all-time favourite song. It’s perfect. DYWIM is probably in the Oasis top 15 for me though.

Champagne Supernova is probably my #1 (it can fight Acquiesce for that), and DYKWIM is in my top 15.
Both fantastic though.

Both are the badass tunes, but I kinda prefer the DYKWIM vibe.

I think CS is a top 10-20 song of all time; a rock n roll masterpiece, and probably my favorite Oasis tune. DYKWIM is in my top 5, but doesn’t achieve the heights of CS for me. I do, however, rate Noel’s rethink version of DYKWIM better than the original, which puts it even closer to my opinion of CS.

I do want to say, though, that this is magical. The guitar solo is the birth of britpop right there, lads - majestic.
