To the people moaning about the songwriting credit... No one is forcing you to listen to the song, so why don't you let people who like it, enjoy it? If it bothers you that much go listen to something else. repeating the same thing over and over is not going to make a difference, it's just fucking annoying.so why don't we move on please Thanks Not sure it's 'people', just the same person about 3 or 4 times on every page in pretty much every thread. I really dont understand how the same piece of music can be either more or less enjoyable depending on who has writing credits.

OK this is total John Lennon. Like don't kid yourself. It's Liam doing Lennon more than any other song! That's not a bad thing. I like the sound of this so far Still this.

Am I the only one who hates the way he opens up the song. The way he sings it, it's like he's taking the piss. He also sings Be Here Now the same way when doing it live these days. Have listen, see what I mean. Undoubtedly

Best song released by a Gallagher in the post-Oasis era.

If you enjoy Live Forever knowing that the singer didn't write it, but dismiss Liam's solo act and calling him a sell-out then you're a hypocrite. And why would you care if he wrote it by himself or not? A good song is a good song regardless of who the writer is. I get it that you love Noel's "purist" comments about songwriting, but at the end of the day, Noel's name in the credits doesn't guarantee that the song is gonna be good. And we have many examples of that now don't we? So, just enjoy the music and get a life outside this forum. Cheers

Cheers I don't give a shit that Liam doesn't write his songs but that's not good comparison. LF is Oasis song, it's not Liam's song and Oasis wrote their songs.

Because he cannot stand people who like Liam and his music. Everybody has a right to their own opinion for sure, but we are not an idiot who can't tell the difference between expressing the opinion and just trolling. He doesn't seem to know how it looks desperate to keep saying the same thing over and over. I can tell how depressed he is without looking at his eyes lol.

...repeating the same thing over and over is not going to make a difference... I agree. New rule when it comes to all this moaning and whining - you only get to do it once.

I kinda wish half this forum had co-writers. Might improve the overall output of this great Oasis fan forum.

Who gives a flying fuck who wrote it? The man is singing it, and it sounds like a masterpiece to me right now.

My offer is now up to $200 for a high-quality fix of the terrible Robocop echo. Ruins the entire song for me and I want this song to be as special as it should be.

Paul McCartney had Malcolm Evans sit with him while he wrote "Fixing a Hole", and apparently Mal's contribution was considerable enough that Paul wanted to give him a co-writing credit, before the label got in the way and kept the song officially as a Lennon-McCartney tune.
I guess we'd better throw out Sgt. Pepper, fucking sellout album, yeah?

Think im the complete opposite of everyone. I really like the instrumental portion; it's the most interesting portion. I think the rest of the song is just ok with a great Liam vocal and bad production.

Still listening to this on repeat. That chorus is something else. This may well go down as his best solo song (so far anyway).

Have listen, see what I mean. Undoubtedly I think with Be Here Now Liam just can't reach high notes, that's why he sings like this. But with Once it's definitely original idea singing like Liam wants to offend somebody for not being cool now - "I remember how you used to shine but you went down like a glass of wine"
