Busted is comparable, and is the UK’s answer, to Blink 182.
Busted never made a dent in the US, but everyone knows Blink 182.
Blink have more material and objectively the better between the two.
However, I fucking love Busted (and they’re British) so Busted gets my vote. Glad they are back. Their new album is proper mega. Would love to see Busted live.

Blink is still my guilty pleasure. Must be the nostalgia.

It's beyond my comprehension why anyone would listen to these kind of bands for any other reason than simple effective and catchy melodies. and if thats the case, why not just listen to JAMC. they did it 20 years earlier, but a lot better

What do they call this kind of music? Skater rock? Where every syllable is drawled out to buggery in that Californian accent.
Much to my surprise, I found out that the band Fountains Of Wayne were pretty well received critically, but who’d know? They’d pissed on their chips with that awful Stacys Mom.

Regardless of how cringe worthy I find some of the lyrics to be upon revisiting. To quote she wants to be me; "she's so obsessed with me, now she stands up to pee" - pure cheese, and i love it.

That is indeed a great line

We actually develop our musical taste in mid adolescence, which we tend to stick with for the rest of our lives. Another one of those same time tomorrows....

I’d rather cut my own head off than listen to music that is pretentious for just the sake of being pretentious. Furthermore, you hold contempt for “simple, effective, and catchy melodies”, yet you’re still on an Oasis forum. You just described Oasis, mate.
