Few new singles out so far, but gotta say Timebomb is my fav so far. Hope the album version is as good as the live version(s).

Oh and my personal opinion so far:
Euphoria — most original of the new singles IMO, but think Timebomb would have better better choice for lead single. (Although technically Rebel Girl was the lead single, haha)
Restless Souls — like it a lot; a little derivative and paint-by-numbers, but those are damn good numbers so I’m not complaining
Losing My Mind — can’t seem to get into this one. Maybe it will grow on me. Lyrics are a bit cringe and too ‘on the nose’ (yes, we get it, aliens exist…) Video is super cringe.
Really like Rebel Girl and Kiss & Tell (which feels more like an album opener than a closer, but what are ya gonna do…)
Kind of disappointing only 3-4 new songs to look forward to and still A MONTH away, but it’s AVA, so I know I’ll love it.

Euphoria - Absolutely banging, LOVE IT
Restless Souls - Complete rip off of Dry Your Eyes.. My least favourite
Losing My Mind - I quite like it tbh. Lyrics are a bit shit but I don't really think about that kinda thing
Rebel Girl - It's OK, my daughter loves it (She calls it Cinderella, she's 4)
Kiss And Tell - I quite like this too
Time Bomb - Sounds alright, but can't rate this really as Tom's voice live is ..... well you know the score

Love AVA and Tom, but hate this release schedule. Somehow it’s making me bored of the songs individually, when really, I can only imagine listening to the whole thing (including RG and K&T) all together at that one new glorious moment.
Sucks how the record industry works now. Just self-destructing “singles” and then we all have to move on to the next bubble…..POP!!!

What do you think of Spellbound?
My first 4-5 listens were on youtube on my PC, and I didn't like it one bit. But I've listened to it now on Spotify on a tidy speaker and I love it

Timebomb bit on Reddit. Sounding mega. Got that Noel Gallagher thing going on where you feel melancholy but optimistic at the same time. (At least IMO).

Not sure how it’s been for you, but I think because most of the songs were released before the album (which means I WAY over-played them), a lot of the magic and excitement of the full release is gone this time around. Honestly, I love Rebel Girl and Kiss & Tell but I’m gonna punch the wall if I have to hear them again, haha. Think I need to just put it down for a few weeks and come back to it. Loving Automatic though. Glad they held that back. |

Caught them in DC. Love the new tunes live. Wish they were more “live” / “punk” on the album. But whatever. Can’t complain. FYI…
