This has turned out to be quite the poll. I voted for FLW, but its very close. I think for me it comes down to FLW sounding like a standard Oasis MKII song while WOG has a bit of a manufactured sound to it.

Production wise it is Wall Of Glass all day long, isnt even a debate there. Modern sounding, great vocals, big sound, fantastic riff. Just a great, solid comeback single.
However, as a song i prefer FLW and it all comes back to the point I've made before that Beady Eyes failure was less about the songs and more about the mountains of other huge problems. No doubt there was alot of songs not good enough, but there was more than enough quality on DGSS to make it a marketable LG project.
It was probably the first studio recording from Liam where i can't believe they didn't ask him for more vocal takes. I've thought that alot since, and I think not having Noel around certainly meant no one dared to question him. There's that 'squeak' (for want of a better phrase) that id only ever heard live, that crept into his vocals for this one (and it become much worse on the beat goes on and for anyone).
Overall though, there's a genuine edge to FLW and it's pure energy and passion. I think you lose that a bit with the manufactured way that Wall Of Glass was made.
DGSS as a whole could have just done with better production and better picked songs though.

I thought Liam's vocals on DGSS were largely pretty good, his vocals on BE though are the worst he's ever done. Just pure nasal.

I thought Liam's vocals on DGSS were largely pretty good, his vocals on BE though are the worst he's ever done. Just pure nasal. I dont think they're bad. I just think he should have been made to do more takes and get them as good as possible. If you listen to all the songs Noel written for Liam on DBTT and DOYS, he seems to have made sure he nailed all of them. That isn't the case for the songs written by the other members so i think the case stands that Noel made sure the stuff he did for him was always as good as it could be. I dont think there was a big enough leader in Beady Eye to get them kind of results. I remember hearing the previews for DGSS for the first time and thinking wow those vocals sound so rushed and very similar to some live performances from the DOYS tour. BE was even more like that and there's still elements of it now on the likes of FWIW. So many high notes that they've just edited and it creates a really manufactured kind of squeak that doesnt sound good to casual fans.
