Anyone noticed the "and it makes me sweat" is nicked from INXS I need you Tonight ? Was it mentionned already ? Not the same melody, but close enough in the grand tradition of NG.

Still somewhere between a six and a seven, for me. A good song, with infectious bass, but it's a bit too laid-back for it's own good. I wish it had been a b-side to This is the Place; it would have got a better reception if it wasn't toted as a single, and that would have made for a much more cohesive listen than throwing it with songs like Rattling Rose and Sail On.

What an unholy piece of shit! I'll give it 4/10. Just because I want to like it, not as bad as his other shit singles. I kinda like the first album, and even that's really boring and redundant.

I really think in Noel's effort to experiment, he's lost his sense of melody. I don't mean that literally of course. He could probably write Chasing yesterday 2.0 if he wanted to. I just mean that if he could blend the strong melodies of his first three solo albums with this new direction he's done for the EP's, it would be the best work he's ever put out.
But the melodies aren't really there for me at the moment. And that is unlike Noel.

I hear this track frequently as background music in tv. So I guess he was also trying to appeal the masses and it worked
but I agree with @theindutimes8, I miss Noel's melodies and style of writing he had before
if he wants a new direction, fair play. It's just doesn't do it for me either

I do like Khruangbin's kind of funk with groovier bass and guitar

Didn't aged very well for me.. I gave it a six back then and now feels like a 4/10.
Verses are too bland IMO

Can't believe it's been nearly 2 years already
Anyway, it's a 6,5/10 for me, not fantastic but I still find it enjoyable, I just think it's a bit style over substance while his other dancey/experimental efforts are more enjoyable and better balanced
